Board Games for Grownups at Moss Mill Brewery: Nov. 14 from 6 to 9 p.m. The library will host Board Games for Grownups at Moss Mill Brewing Co., 109 Pike Circle, Unit D, Huntingdon Valley. Come play board games and enjoy some craft beer. The library will bring board games, but attendees are welcome to bring their own to share as well. There will be a Lover Letter Tournament with prizes from the library. All ages welcome.

Block Party: Nov. 15 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. All ages are invited to play with blocks and toys at this walk-in program.

Tails Reading Program with the Women’s Animal Center: Nov. 15 at 6 p.m. Come help socialize a friendly, adoptable shelter animal by reading to them. While waiting for your turn to read, explore the library and make treats for the shelter animals. This is a walk-in program. The library will be collecting donations of new and used sheets and towels, animal toys and animal food (both canned and dry) and monetary donations for the center throughout the month of November.

Weekend Walks Delaware Canal Towpath: Nov. 17 at 10 a.m. The library will host a walk along the Delaware Canal Towpath to the Revolution­ary War Graves. Either meet at the library parking lot at 9:30 a.m. or at Washington Crossing Historical Park, Thompson-Neely House section, 1635 River Road, New Hope, in the parking lot area.

Music and Motion with Ms. Nancy: Nov. 19 and 26 at 10:30 a.m. Ages birth and up are invited to sing, dance and move with Ms. Nancy, a profession­al music teacher experience­d in parentchil­d music programs. This is a walk-in program until full.

Medicare Counseling Sessions: Upper Moreland Free Public Library has teamed up with RSVP of Montgomery County to offer Medicare counseling sessions for seniors with questions about their coverage. On select Mondays, the library will host a specially trained volunteer from RSVP’s Apprise program who can answer questions in an objective, easy-to-understand manner. Anyone who needs more informatio­n about their coverage, from those just becoming eligible to those who are having problems with their plans, can get answers to help them make informed decisions about the next step. Lego Club: Mondays from 1 to 3 p.m. Kids 5 to 8 try their hand at building or creative challenges. Stories & Science: Tuesdays at 1:30 p.m. Children 24 to 36 months explore simple science concepts like sound, color & magnetism with toddler-friendly stories followed by a simple science experiment at Stories & Science.

ESL Discussion Group: The Upper Moreland Free Public Library invites all English as a Second Language learners to a twicemonth­ly ESL discussion group. On the first and third Wednesdays of every month from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., library staff will lead an informal discussion paired with exercises for participan­ts to practice English conversati­on, increase their fluency and meet other English language learners. This program is free and open to the public. Participan­ts need not be a resident to attend the discussion.

Evening Book Discussion: The Upper Moreland Public Library holds monthly book discussion meeting for anyone who wants thoughtful discussion with great people. The Evening Book Discussion Group meets the fourth or last Wednesday of every month from 7 to 8:15 p.m. These events are free and open to the public. No registrati­on is necessary.

Daytime Book Discussion Group: The Upper Moreland Free Public Library is pleased to announce that the Daytime Book Discussion Group will continue meeting in the Library Community Room from 2:30 to 3:45 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month. Writers’ Group: Held on the second Saturday of the month from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. All writers — amateurs, profession­als, scribblers or typists — are invited to join this new group for thoughtful discussion­s of the writing process and craft, exercises and prompts to generate ideas, and critique workshops of the groups’ writing. Sunday Cinema: The Upper Moreland Free Public Library’s Sunday Cinema film series continues on the third Sunday of the month at 2 p.m. Sunday Cinema gives adults the opportunit­y to watch outstandin­g foreign and independen­t films, followed with a discussion led by Dr. Maurizio Giammarco. Support Group for Parents of Autistic Children: A series of support meetings for parents of children with autism have been scheduled throughout the fall and winter.
