Jacob C. Landis,
87, died Thursday, Oct. 25, at home surrounded by family, after a brief illness. He was born Jan.
26, 1931 in Harleysville, Pennsylvania to Abraham A. and Ruth R. (Clemens) Landis. He married June Moyer May 2, 1953 in Blooming Glen. She died Jan. 15, 2016. Survivors include two sons, Geoffrey (Elizabeth Gunden) Landis, Goshen, Indiana and Douglas (Joy Neumann) Landis, Mason, Michigan; three grandchildren, Andrew (Ashley Joyce) Landis; Allison (Kevin) Landis Revels and Jonathan Landis; and two sisters, Gladys C. (Harold) Kulp, Sellersville and Ruth C. (Mark) Longacre, Susquehanna. Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Rhoda L. (Russell) Bishop. A Goshen resident since 2003, Jake was a member of College Mennonite Church where he was active in the choir programs. Visitation will be Nov. 7, 3:00-5:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at College Mennonite Church, Goshen, where a Thursday, Nov. 8, 11:00 a.m. memorial service will be conducted.
