While the upper classes were out working in the community, freshmen remained at the academy to meet The Breathing Room Foundation’s volunteer coordinator, Eileen Carissimi, and guest speaker Patty Rose. Rose shared her own story of surviving breast cancer, as well as information about how The Breathing Room works to provide benefits to families in need. Students later made blankets for The Breathing Room Foundation and sandwich bags for Face to Face Soup Kitchen.
