Glo­ria M. Lewis (nee Koet­ter) passed way at her home sur­rounded by the love of her fam­ily on No­vem­ber 3, 2018. Born in Philadel­phia she was the daugh­ter of the late Henry and Marie Rhoren Koet­ter.

Glo­ria was a tal­ented rug hooker which is known to many as a lost art of sorts which was very preva­lent dur­ing colo­nial times. She shared her love of the craft with count­less stu­dents over the years and had many mu­seum qual­ity pieces. Glo­ria was also pro­fi­cient in the kitchen hav­ing cooked count­less fam­ily meals over the years and she was also known for her jams, jel­lies, and pick­les. She also shared her skills with her chil­dren. Most of all, Glo­ria trea­sured time spent with her beloved fam­ily and she will be dearly missed.

Wife of the late Ernest F. with whom she shared 65 years of mar­riage. Lov­ing mother of Wayne (Donna),

to share their ex­pe­ri­ences. Glo­ria Vi­cars, Karen Grau­mann, David (Marie), Bryan (Joy), Beth Ann Lewis, and the late Steven. Also sur­vived by four grand­chil­dren Peter Lewis, Michele Amholt, Eric Lewis and Ash­ley Lewis; and her great­grand­chil­dren, Kayla, David, Kon­ner, Kaidence, Jay­den, Bent­ley, and Si­mon and Pre­ceded in death by two grand­chil­dren Kim­berly Rob­bins and Glen Lewis. Rel­a­tives and friends may greet the fam­ily on Fri­day from 9:00-10:15 AM fol­lowed by her Fu­neral Mass 10:30 AM at Queen of Peace Church, 820 North Hills Ave., Ard­s­ley, PA 19038. Int. Whitemarsh Mem. Park, Am­bler. In lieu of flow­ers do­na­tions may be made in her mem­ory to the Mont­gomery County His­tor­i­cal So­ci­ety, 1654 DeKalb Pike, Norristown, PA 19401.
