Janet Irene Koert (Getty), long time resident of Ambler, PA, passed away on January 5, 2019 in Wichita, KS. Funeral services will be held on January 11, 2019 at 10:00 AM at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church (1321 North Stratford Lane, Wichita, KS 67207) with Father Joshua Evans, officiating. Janet Koert was born in Schenectady, NY to Louis H. and Irene R. Getty on January 30, 1934. She attended Burnt HillsBallston Lake High School and graduated in 1951. She was a graduate of The College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY. She married Alvah C. Koert on June 16, 1956. She was the mother of three children, an avid gardener, excellent cook, and devout believer in the Lord. She is preceded in death by Louis H. Getty, Irene R. Getty, Joseph L. Flacke, Alvah C. Koert, and Kathryn G. Koert. Janet Irene Koert is survived by David Koert, Timothy and Joyce Koert, Kathleen Koert, Louis and Adelaide Getty Jr., Lois Flacke, David and Mary Ellen Getty, Michaela Koert, Roberta Hoaglan, Irene and Mason Huntington, Daniel Koert, Derilynn Wells, Danielle Wells, and Avi Huntington.
