Shel­don J. Ein­horn

Shel­don J. Ein­horn, of Boyn­ton Beach and Ry­dal, served for four years as a me­te­o­rol­o­gist in the Air Force. He re­ceived his Doc­tor­ate in Math­e­mat­ics from Penn in 1969. Shel­don spe­cial­ized in ma­jor de­fense strate­gies, in­clud­ing buoys in the Pa­cific, anti-mis­sile de­fense pro­grams, and air­line re­pair sys­tems. He au­thored many ar­ti­cles in jour­nals of math­e­mat­ics. After years in de­fense work, he be­came the man­ager of his wife’s real es­tate com­pany, Cen­tury 21 Ein­hornAdler. Shel­don loved du­pli­cate bridge, the English lan­guage, “fix­ing things,” play­ing the ukulele, and he had a pas­sion for ten­nis, pass­ing away sud­denly on Novem­ber 6, 2018, in the midst of a win­ning game. He was kind, gen­tle, and com­pas­sion­ate. Shel­don is lov­ingly re­mem­bered by his wife, Miriam, son An­drew Ein­horn, daugh­ter Janet Ein­horn (Craig Spiel­man), and Janet’s daugh­ters, An­drea Sue Hol­len­bach and Sharon Rose Hol­len­bach.
