Wayne Lawrence Palmer, 71, of Vero Beach, Florida, passed away on January 2, 2019 in Vero Beach.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Friday March 1, 2019 at the Central Schwenkfel­der Church in Lansdale, Pa.

Wayne was born in Lansdale, Pennsylvan­ia to Stephen Thomas and Roberta Comly Palmer on June 27, 1947. He graduated from William Penn Charter School and Denison University. He married his high school sweetheart, Marilyn, on March 15, 1969 at Saint Peter’s Lutheran Church in Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvan­ia. He worked as an executive for Palmer Internatio­nal, a family chemical business, for thirty-one years and then found bliss in Orchid Island, Florida where he was on the Board of Governors. Being a member of the Orchid Island Golf and Beach Club, he was actively involved in the community, taking part in golf, tennis and bridge among other activities. He was a member of the American Contract Bridge League and he was a committee member of the Orchid Island Tennis and Fitness Center.

Wayne is survived by wife Marilyn of 49 years, son Kevin and his wife Stacy Palmer, daughter Cindy and her husband Douglas Moskowitz, brother Bruce Palmer and sister Roberta Body, and grandchild­ren Alexis, Bradley, William and Kaitlyn.

Wayne is preceded in death by father Stephen, mother Roberta, and brother Stephen Jr.

Memorials may be given to the VNA Hospice House (901 37th Street, Vero Beach) or the VNA Visiting Nurses Associatio­n (1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach). The family of Wayne Palmer wishes to extend our sincere thanks to both of them.
