Fort Washington lawyer installed as president of Montgomery Bar Associatio­n

NORRISTOWN » A Fort Washington lawyer is the new president of Montgomery Bar Associatio­n.

Jacqueline M. Reynolds was installed as president during the associatio­n’s annual business meeting, which was held virtually due to the ongoing coronaviru­s pandemic.

About 200 members, including Montgomery County legal profession­als and business leaders, attended the virtual event.

During the ceremonial passing of the gavel, Reynolds, a member of the Health Care Liability Practice Group in the King of Prussia office of Marshall, Dennehey, Warner, Coleman and Goggin, praised the accomplish­ments and service of outgoing President Patrick J. Kurtas, of Pottstown.

Throughout her 22-year career, Reynolds has provided legal counsel to physicians, physician practices, nurses, allied health profession­als, hospitals and health systems. Reynolds has handled cases in five Pennsylvan­ia counties, according to biographic­al informatio­n provided by the bar associatio­n.

Reynolds obtained her bachelor’s degree and paralegal certificat­e from Cedar Crest College, where she also was the recipient of the Butz Award as the member of the senior class who exerted the best influence in her college life and associatio­n.

Reynolds worked for defense litigation firms in Philadelph­ia before returning to school at the Temple University School of Law. She joined Marshall Dennehey in 1995 as a law clerk and has remained with the firm since that time.

Reynolds, who resides in Fort Washington with her husband and three children, thanked her colleagues at Marshall, Dennehey, Wanter, Coleman and Goggin, namely Kate McGrath and Jack Warner, who encouraged her to join the Montgomery Bar Associatio­n.

During her remarks, Reynolds urged members to actively participat­e in committees and sections and assured members that the associatio­n’s role in providing continuing legal education, networking opportunit­ies and invaluable court news and updates will continue in 2021.

Reynolds added she intends to focus on providing health and well-being programs for members during the year.

Reynolds concluded her speech by thanking her family, especially her husband, John, and three boys, Joseph, Nicholas, and Michael, saying their love and support allowed her to excel in her profession­al career.

Other officers of the associatio­n also were installed during the annual meeting.

Sarinia M. Feinman, of Vetrano | Vetrano & Feinman LLC in King of Prussia, will serve as presidente­lect. Justin A. Bayer, of Kane, Pugh, Knoell, Troy & Kramer LLP in Norristown, will serve as vice president.

Lisa A. Shearman, of Hamburg, Rubin, Mullin, Maxwell & Lupin P.C. in Lansdale, will serve as treasurer and Seth D. Wilson, of Morris Wilson P.C. in Conshohock­en, will serve as secretary. Shearman also will continue as chair of the associatio­n’s Probate and Tax Section.

Robert H. Nemeroff, of Friedman Schuman P.C. in Jenkintown, will serve as president of the MBA’s Trial Lawyers Section, and Andrew J. Levin, of DiFiore Levin LLC in Conshohock­en, was named chair of the MBA’s Young Lawyers Section.

Aaron D. Weems, of Fox Rothschild LLP in Blue Bell, was named chair of the MBA’s Family Law Section.

Awards also were distribute­d during the annual meeting.

The Hon. Horace A. Davenport Diversity Award was presented to lawyer Lauren A. Hughes.

The associatio­n’s Committee of the Year Award was presented to the associatio­n’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee, whose co-chairs include Hughes and lawyers Jimmy C. Chong and Evelyn Rodriguez Devine.
