Albert Paul Urban


Albert Paul Urban of Glenside, PA passed away on Tuesday Dec. 15, 2020, after battling Covid-19 for 12 days. He was 87 years old. He was the beloved husband of the late Carmela M. Urban for 54 years before she passed. He was born in Philadelph­ia and was the son of the late Albert & Barbra Urban.

Albert worked at The Budd Company, a 20th Century Metal Fabricator, in Hunting Park from 1952 to 1992 as a Tool & Die Maker. He also served in the US Naval Reserves from 1950 to 1984 as an Aviation Structural Mechanic Hydraulics First Class.

Albert was a very active volunteer in the Abington community for 30 plus years. He graduated from the Abington Police Citizens Police Academy and was part of Citizens Police Together, National Night Out, Town Watch, & Abington React. He also volunteere­d with the D.U.I Task Force, 24 Hour Relay, Rocka-Thon, Youth Aid Panel, and other volunteer programs.

Albert was the devoted father of Stephen M. Urban and his wife Donna of Ardsley and the late Albert Urban and his wife Kim of Roslyn and grandfathe­r to Kristen, Heather, and John Urban. Also survived by his two brothers Ronald and Richard Urban of Delaware and his loving companion dog Chloe.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation Saturday, April 24th from 9-10 AM followed by his religious service at 10 AM both at the Joseph J. McGoldrick Funeral Home, 507 West Ave. Jenkintown, PA. His interment will be held at Whitemarsh Memorial Park.
