SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE » the Ambler borough police department received reports of a suspicious white dodge van at the 400 block of edgewood drive in Ambler. According to police, a man with black hair between the ages of 18 to 25 years old and wearing a hat was seen driving the vehicle around 1 p.m. on April 6. the driver then allegedly backed into the driveway of a nearby residence as children were outside playing, according to police. police said the children went inside when they saw the van. the driver “forcibly knocked on the front door but the children did not answer,” police said. the driver then got back into the van and left the area driving toward bethlehem pike, according to the report. Additional­ly, no packages were left outside the house, and the homeowner “was not expecting any deliveries,” according to police. GUN CHARGE » Sean Scott, 32, of woodlawn Avenue, folcroft, was arrested early Saturday morning in connection with illegally possessing a concealed firearm, according to the Jenkintown police department. An officer initially heard screeching tires and a crash around 1:19 a.m. on April 10, and observed a two-vehicle crash on York road, according to police. the officer then saw four or five men “running from both vehicles” near homestead and York roads. the officer stopped one of the suspects who was “attempting to run from the passenger side of a black dodge charger after placing items into his hoodie pockets and then running towards the driver side of the vehicle.” After the suspect, later identified as Scott, was detained, police discovered a “loaded firearm in his hoodie pocket,” but he did not have a permit. the other individual­s involved had fled the scene, but another firearm was found on the floor of the other car, according to police. the crash investigat­ion remains active, according to police.

DUI » Scott mishalko, 30, of creekside court, warrington, was arrested friday in connection with suspicion of driving under the influence, according to the Jenkintown police department. An officer responded to a single-vehicle crash around 1:18 a.m. on the 400 block of York road when the officer observed that a sedan collided with a pole, according to police. the driver, later identified as mishalko, “admitted to using marijuana,” police said. mishalko is facing a charge for possession of a controlled substance, according to police. the dui-offense is pending the results of a blood test.

POSSESSION » Amir boyd, 22, of oklahoma road, willow grove, was arrested friday night in connection with possession of marijuana, according to the Jenkintown police department. police saw “the male driver of a black Audi complete some sort of hand to hand transactio­n with another unknown male” around 10:06 p.m. on April 9 near the intersecti­on of west Avenue and leedom Street. the vehicle owner, later identified as boyd, was found to have an expired license during a records check, according to police. An officer stopped the driver, later identified as boyd near York road and cherry Street. upon coming into contact with boyd, an officer “detected an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.” boyd later “handed over a small amount [of marijuana’ to police.” following his arrest, boyd was released and will soon “receive a summons for possession of a small amount of marijuana,” police said.

PROBATION » khary bonds, 44, of Allengrove Street, philadelph­ia, was arrested on march 27 in connection with an outstandin­g warrant for a probation violation, according to the Jenkintown police department. According to police, bonds went to the Jenkintown police department around 8:30p.m. “to give a statement in reference to a previous incident,” and was then “turned over to deputies from the montgomery county Sheriff’s office.”
