Wood grad shines in Bucknell’s win over Holy Cross

• Bucknell’s Andrew Funk (Archbishop Wood) tallied 14 points, three rebounds, two assists and a steal in Saturday’s 68-55 win over Holy Cross, including his 1,000th point.

Funk joined his older brother Tommy (Wood), an Army graduate to become just the second set of brothers in Patriot League history to score 1,000 points.

Andrew Funk also had five points, four rebounds and two assists in Wednesday’s 75-56 loss to Colgate.

• Collin Gillespie (Archbishop Wood) had a seasonhigh 28 points, hitting 6-of-9 from 3-point range, in Saturday’s 85-74 win over Georgetown. Eric Dixon (Abington) had two points, eight boards, an assist and block and Jordan Longino (Germantown Academy) had two points and a rebound.

• West Chester’s Robert Smith Jr (Bishop McDevitt) racked up 23 points including a perfect 6-of-6 from3point range, adding three assists in Saturday’s 98-91 win over Bloomsburg while Jamil Manigo (McDevitt) chalked up 10 points and five boards for the Golden Rams.

• Justin Anderson (Archbishop Carroll) tallied 22 points plus six rebounds, five assists and two blocks and Hunter Healy (McDevitt) had two points, four rebounds and a pair of rejections.

Smith posted five points, three rebounds and three assists in Wednesday’s 7372 win over Millersvil­le and Manigo added 10 points, nine rebounds and an assist.

• Albany’s Matt Cerruti (Archbishop Wood) had a season-best 20 points on 7-of-11 shooting in the Great Danes’ 66-54 win over UMBC on Wednesday, adding two rebounds, three assists and three steals.

• Evan-Eric Longino (Germantown Academy) had 10 points, six rebounds and two steals for Kutztown in Wednesday’s 75-74 win over Bloomsburg.

Justin Anderson had 29 points on 12-of-20 shooting with five rebounds and two blocks and Hunter Healy added two points and four rebounds for Bloomsburg.

Women’s basketball

• Villanova’s Kaitlyn Orihel (Archbishop Wood) had three points, a rebound and assist in Sunday’s 74-64 win over Creighton.

• Denae Carter (St Basil

Academy) returned to Mississipp­i State’s lineup with four points, 10 rebounds, two blocks and a season-best four steals in Thursday’s 66-63 loss to Georgia. The freshman has seven doublefigu­re rebound games and now has 33 blocks on the season, tying her for third most by a freshman in a single-season.

• Northeaste­rn’s Katie May (Archbishop Wood) had nine points, seven boards and three assists in Sunday’s 67-57 win over William & Mary. In Friday’s 6852 win over Elon, May had 10 points, six boards, an assist and two steals.

• Kate Connolly (Souderton) had three points, four rebounds and an assist for Drexel in Sunday’s 70-62 win over Delaware. Lizzie Oleary (Abington) had five points and 11 rebounds for

Delaware.

• Lindsay Tretter (Archbishop Wood) scored 13 points with four rebounds and three assists in Holy Family’s 71-59 win over Dominican on Sunday, giving her double-digit scoring in five straight games.

Tretter had a career-high 22 points on 8-of-13 shooting, including 6-of-8 from three, in Thursday’s 7069 win over Jefferson with three rebounds, an assist and two steals.

• Chestnut Hill’s Cassie Sebold (Archbishop Wood) dished her 400th career assist in Saturday’s win over Post, just the second player in program history to hit the milestone. The fifthyear senior, a Willow Grove resident, scored her 1,000th point earlier this season.

• Cabrini’s Miranda Liebtag (Abington) had a big week capped with 15 points on 6-of-10 shooting plus 11 rebounds, three assists and three steals in Saturday’s 7244 win over Marywood. The junior added five points, six rebounds, four assists and a steal in Wednesday’s 7041 win over Arcadia after putting up 12 points, 12 rebounds, three assists and two steals in Monday’s 7247 win over Gwynedd Mercy University.

• Bloomsburg’s Sam Brusha (Abington) scored four points with a rebound and assist in Saturday’s 61-50 win over West Chester.

• Dickinson’s Jen Kremp (Jenkintown) poured in 17 points, adding three rebounds and three assists in Saturday’s 53-50 win over Swarthmore while Mia Kolb (Jenkintown) added in seven points, four boards and three helpers.
