Marie Mahnke

Marie Mahnke, 94, passed away on February 15, 2022 in Concord, NC. She was born on August 18, 1927, in Brooklyn, NY, daughter to the late Paul and Tina Serrao Paone.

Marie lived most of her life in Ambler, PA, but spent the last 15 years living in Charlotte, NC. She spent her life working in retail and always greeted customers with smiles, cups of tea or

coffee and conversation! She never met a stranger. Marie was always there to lend a hand to family and friends and those she could count on. She loved cooking Italian meals and spending time with family. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church and enjoyed her visits from the Clergy.

She was preceded in death by husbands Anthony Guagno and Richard Mahnke; her beloved daughter Annette who was married to her son-in-law Thomas Joseph Connell, of Indian Land, SC. She is survived by her son Joseph Guagno and wife Ann of Perkasie, PA; three grandchildren Tracey Cothran and her husband Derek of Matthews, NC, Joe Guagno and his wife Missy of Philadelphia, PA, and Michael Guagno of Brooklyn, NY; as well as three great-grandsons Brice, Graham and Davis Cothran of Matthews, NC. Services will be private for the family.
