ASSAULT » A male was charged with assault Feb. 24 following a domestic incident at 10:06 p.m. Feb. 24 in the 1000 block of Wellington Road, Elkins Park, police said. The victim had a PFA against the male, police said.

RETAIL THEFT » CVS, 835 Old York Road, reported that a male stole $625 worth of goods from the store Feb. 24, police said. THEFT » A Huntingdon Valley resident reported Feb. 25 that $25,000 was taken from the residence in two separate incidents over the last year, police said. The victim, who did not report the theft of $10,000 last year, said an additional $15,000 was taken during the last two months, police said.

FRAUD » Police reported several cases reported between Feb. 24 and March 2 in which the victims were fraudulent­ly contacted by a computer/software company. In one, a Huntingdon Valley resident reported Feb. 25 being scammed out of $20,000 after being contacted by a computer company representa­tive claiming it accidental­ly placed money in his bank account and told him to return the money, which the victim did, police said. It was later found that the money was the victim’s and had been moved from his savings to his checking account, police said.

FRAUD » In a similar incident, a Willow Grove resident reported Feb. 25 responding to a pop up from a computer company telling him to purchase $15,000 in Macy’s gift cards, police said. A Macy’s employee contacted police and an officer was able to convince the intended victim he was being scammed and no financial loss was suffered, police said.

FRAUD » Another male reported Feb. 28 he was scammed out of $200,000 after being contacted by a computer anti-virus company and purchasing $4,500 in gift cards and providing the numbers, police said. The victim was also told $80,000 had been deposited into his account which he had to return and the victim provided his account informatio­n and made numerous transfers to an account in Peru, after which he found he was missing $200,000, police said.

FRAUD » A Jenkintown resident reported March 2 receiving an email stating he had been charged $420 by a computer service and when he called the number provided, a male with an accent offered to help get the money back, police said. The victim, who was then told he had been refunded too much money, purchased $2,000 in gift cards for the caller, police said. When asked to purchase more, the victim realized he was being scammed, police said. RETAIL THEFT »A male was taken into custody following a short foot chase after allegedly taking $750 in merchandis­e from Macy’s at the Willow Grove Park mall at 6:06 p.m. Feb. 27, police said. A second suspect fled in a vehicle and was not located, police said. VEHICLE RECOVERED » An officer on patrol attempted to stop a vehicle that had been reported stolen in Philadelph­ia at 10:39 p.m. Feb. 28 at Old York and Old Welsh roads, police said. The operator jumped out of the vehicle and fled, and an investigat­ion is continuing, police said.

THEFT » A male reported March 1 that $600 and three credit cards were taken from his wallet, which was in a locker secured with a combinatio­n lock at Esporta

Fitness, 371 Highland Ave., police said. The lock was not damaged and it is unknown how access to the locker was gained, police said. An attempt to use one of the cards at the Apple store in King of Prussia was declined, police said. FRAUD » Sloane Toyota, 527 Easton Road, reported March 2 that on March 1 a male purchased a vehicle worth $29,000, but it was later discovered he had used a fake ID and someone else’s informatio­n, police said. CRIMINAL MISCHIEF » A male reported March 2 at 1:50 p.m. that while at Esporta Fitness, 371 Highland Ave., a tire on his vehicle was slashed, police said. THEFT » Caitlin Eldridge, 39, of Fairview Avenue, Willow Grove, was charged with theft by deception, theft by unlawful taking, forgery and receiving stolen property Feb. 26 following an incident in the 1500 block of Fairview, police said.

RETAIL THEFT » A 48-yearold woman of Sylvania Avenue, Rockledge, was charged with retail theft March 2 in the 2500 block of Moreland Road, police said.

DUI » A 45-year-old Dresher man was charged with driving under the influence Feb. 16 following a traffic stop at Susquehann­a and Huntingdon roads, police said.

DUI » A 68-year-old Jenkintown man was charged with driving under the influence following a traffic stop Feb. 16 at Fitzwatert­own Road and Phipps Avenue, police said.

RETAIL THEFT » A man described as a thin, black male in his 20s, wearing dark shorts, dark sweatshirt and white socks, stole $100 worth of goods from Walgreens, 2727 Cheltenham Ave., at 11:52 a.m. March 1, police said. RETAIL THEFT » Carlton Laws, 67, of the 300 block of Tulpehocke­n Avenue, Philadelph­ia, was arrested at 1:30 p.m. March 1 at Home Depot, 7690 Washington Lane, and charged with a felony count of retail theft and receiving stolen property, police said.

RETAIL THEFT » A male wearing an olive-green bomber jacket with an Eagles logo and a black mask stole a cartful of groceries at 3:01 p.m. March 2 at Aldi, 8200 Ogontz Avenue, police said.

TRESPASS » A 21-year-old woman of the 1500 block of Haines Street, Philadelph­ia, was taken into custody on multiple warrants from multiple jurisdicti­ons March 3 after officers responded at 3:13 a.m. to the 1400 block of West Cheltenham Avenue for a report of a female not permitted on the property, police said. RETAIL THEFT » A black male wearing a gray jacket, black pants and blue mask stole two duffle bags full of shoes from Burlington Coat Factory, 2471 Cheltenham Ave., at 2:14 p.m. March 3, police said.

THEFT » Aniyah Ferris, 20, of the 8600 block of Thouron Avenue, Philadelph­ia; and a 25-year-old male of the 4400 block of 4th Street, Philadelph­ia, were arrested at 12:02 p.m. March 4 at Home Depot, 7690 Washington Lane, when officers responded to a report of an employee theft, police said. ROBBERY » A black male, 5 feet 10 inches, average build, wearing black pants, black jacket and a blue hooded sweatshirt, attempted to leave Shop Rite, 2471 Cheltenham Ave., with goods at 9:11 a.m. March 5, pushed the security officer and took a fighting stance when confronted, police said. The male then fled toward the bus loop, police said. ROBBERY » Two male teens forcibly took a female victim’s purse at 1:27 p.m. March 5 at Walmart, 1000 S. Easton Road, police said. ASSAULT » Richard Seifert, 33, of Elkins Park, was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, harassment and terroristi­c threats following a domestic incident in the 7600 block of Woodlawn Avenue, Melrose Park, at 3:13 p.m. March 5, police said. WARRANT » A 60-yearold Philadelph­ia man was taken into custody at 10:16 p.m. March 5 at the police station on a retail theft warrant from 2019, police said. BURGLARY » Several boxes of cigars and cartons of cigarettes were taken during a burglary overnight March 5 at Seven Plus Smoke Shop, 431 Cheltenham Ave., police said.

RETAIL THEFT » Two people stole about 20 pair of women’s shoes, valued at several hundred dollars, at 2:23 p.m. March 6 at Burlington Coat Factory, 2471 Cheltenham Ave., police said.

A male filled a bag with items on display at Burlington Coat Factory, 2471 Cheltenham Ave., at 3:19 p.m. March 6 and left without paying, police said.
