TENNENT 12, NEW FOUNDATION­S CHARTER 6 » The Panthers made history on Friday, notching the program’s firstever varsity win. The Panthers led 5-2 at halftime and coasted to the win. Kaylee Tidwell and Angelyna Pisano each scored three goals for Tennent.

DOWNINGTOW­N EAST 9, MOUNT ST. JOE’S 8 » Lauren Maher scored two goals, while Amelia Clair added a goal and an assist but The Magic (3-1) lost a heartbreak­er on Saturday. Also scoring for The Mount were Campbell Donovan, Devin Loome and Maggie Rezza. Annie Shields came through with 6 saves for Mount St. Joe’s.

MOUNT SAINT JOSEPH 6, VILLA MARIA 5 » Amelia Clair scored three goals in the Magic’s AACA win Thursday. Lauren Maher added a goal and three assists while Annie Shields made eight saves.

UPPER DUBLIN 12, PENNRIDGE 11 » Aditi Foster scored five goals and added two assists as the Cardinals won a thriller on Wednesday in SOL crossover action. Paige Dinkel added three goals, while Julie Zlonitkoff also scored two for the Cards. Also tallying goals for Upper Dublin were Anna DiMartile and Cami Rosenthal. Katie Westmorela­nd scored three times as Mount St. Joseph rolled to a Catholic Academies victory.

Maggie Rezza, Lauren Maher and Devon Loome all had two goals for the Magic — Rezza adding two assists and a draw control while Maher had an assist. Ava Rossi finished with a goal and two assists with Kate Donovan collecting a goal, an assist and three draw controls.

Kiersten Pumilia tallied a goal, Quinn Shields picked up an assist while Mount goalie Annie Shields made five saves.

Boys tennis WISSAHICKO­N 6, PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 0 » The Trojans didn’t drop a set in picking up the SOL Liberty win on Tuesday. Danny Zappin picked up a 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 3 singles over Zachary Small in one of the closest matches of the day. UPPER DUBLIN 6, QUAKERTOWN 1 » The Cards lost at No. 1 singles, but it was all Upper Dublin in the other flights. The Cards’ doubles teams lost a total of three games.

UPPER DUBLIN 7, CENTRAL 0 » The Cardinals didn’t drop a set in rolling to the nonconfere­nce win on Tuesday. Scott Schlackman stepped in at No. 1 singles and coasted to the 6-0, 6-2 victory.

PENNRIDGE 5, QUAKERTOWN 2 » Despite frigid conditions, the Rams won 3-of-4 doubles flights in picking up the win over their rivals. Wins by Nick Talarico/Josh Antill at No. 2 doubles and Devesh Bungatoval­a/Jack Grabowski at No. 4 doubles swung the match in favor of Pennridge.

WISSAHICKO­N 8, PERK VALLEY 3 » The Trojans jumped out to a 3-0 lead after one quarter and coasted to the nonconfere­nce win on Friday. The Trojans were able to capitalize six times on costly Vikings offensive turnovers on their way to victory.

NORTH PENN 8, SPRINGFIEL­D-MONTCO 3 » Lars Homan scored three goals and Caleb Moister added two more as the Knights picked up the SOL crossover win on Friday. Also scoring for the Knights were Jake Dolan, Connor Toussaint and Caidem Myers. GERMANTOWN ACADEMY 16, PENNRIDGE 4 » The Patriots went ahead 6-0 after one quarter and coasted to the nonconfere­nce win on Wednesday. Drew Ferguson, Matt Seiler, Jack Leuthe and Ben Souder scored for the Rams.

HATBORO-HORSHAM 5, WISSAHICKO­N 0 » Cole Fisher tossed a complete-game as the Hatters picked up the win on Saturday. He scattered four hits, striking out 13 and walking two. WOOD 15, HATBORO-HORSHAM 12 » The two teams used seven pitchers and combined for 21 hits and 27 runs in a slugfest on Saturday. Fisher hit a two-run home run in the first for Hatboro-Horsham, while Will Bruner and Trey Porter also hit home runs for Hatboro-Horsham. Nick Katherine led the Hatters’ 10-hit attack with three hits and two runs scored.

WOOD 15, HARRITON 0 » The Vikings won quickly in just three innings and picked up the nonconfere­nce win on Friday. Patrick Mckinney led the 9-hit attack with two hits, while J.P. DiGuiseppe had three RBI’s. UPPER DUBLIN 8, ABINGTON 1 » Tristan Cairnes pitched a complete game, allowing just two hits and one earned run. He also struck out nine and walked one. Ethan Mandick was 3-for-3 with a run and an RBI, while Leo Soriano was 2-for-3 with two runs scored and Joe Levis doubled with two RBI’s. PENNRIDGE 4, UPPER PERK 2 » Scoring three runs in the top of the sixth innings, the Rams pulled away for the win on Thursday. Winning pitcher Conor Flynn hurled three innings of relief, not allowing a hit and striking out five.

ABINGTON 12, NORRISTOWN 2 (5) » Abington scored the nonleague matchup’s final 12 runs, the last seven coming in the bottom of the fifth.

Luke Sydlowski went 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored and also pitched the first four innings for the Galloping Ghosts (1-0), allowing two runs — both earned — on two hits while striking out five and walking two.

Brian Murtha was 2-for-2 with an RBI and a run scored while Alex Dardaris finished 2-for-4. Cody Frazier had two RBIs and two run scored while Matt Worek and John Dzielawa both scored twice.

Norristown took a 2-0 lead in the top of the first but Abington went ahead with four runs in the bottom of the third. The Ghosts added a run in the fourth before their seven-spot in the fifth.

PENNSBURY 6, HATBOROHOR­SHAM 4 » Pennsbury erased a 3-1 deficit by scoring five runs in the top of the seventh inning and knocked off host HatboroHor­sham in an SOL nondivisio­n contest.

Ryan Zuckerman pulled the Falcons even with tworun home run. After Pennsbury put two on with a walk and hit by pitch, Jackson Freeman put the visitors ahead with a two-RBI double. Joe Tiroly followed the next at-bat with an RBI double.

In the bottom of the seventh, the Hatters pulled within two on Trey Porter’s RBI double. HH had runners at second and third with no outs but stranded both and dropped their season opener.

Will Bruner hit a tworun home run as the Hatters plated all of their runs in the bottom of the sixth. Freeman was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored while Zuckerman went 2-for-4 with two RBIs for the Pennsbury (3-0). Tiroly finished 2-for-3 with an RBI.

LOWER MORELAND 16, JENKINTOWN 6 (5) » Lower Moreland scored four runs in the top of the first then added five more in the second as the Lions cruised past Jenkintown for a nonleague win.

Mike Pennisi was 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored while Aidan Ricciardi had a double and three RBIs.

Andrew Dorval finished with a double, two RBIs, two runs and a walk. Matt Dymowski scored three runs, Donato Incollingo had a double, RBI and two runs scored while Aiden Stepansky scored two runs.

Girls track

PW COLONIAL CLASSIC » Mount St. Joe’s had a big day at the PW Colonial Classic on Saturday. Coming through with first-place finishes were Lilly Bradfield in the 400 (1:00.49), Ella Woehlcke set a school record in the 1,600 (4:59.86), Olivia Forti was first in the 3,200 (12:50.81) and Haley Stefanik was first in the javelin (105-3).

ABINGTON 5, UPPER DUBLIN 4 » The Ghosts scored two runs in the seventh inning to pick up an SOL Liberty win over the Cardinals Thursday.

Chloe Foster took the loss for Upper Dublin, allowing five unearned runs. In 6 1/3 innings she allowed one hit while striking out 15 batters to six walks.

Brianna Kesslick went 2-for-4 for the Cardinals with an RBI triple and Kaelin Penna had a two-run double.

ARCHBISHOP WOOD 15, NEUMANN-GORETTI 0 » Dakota Fanelli had two doubles, two RBI and two runs scored in the Vikings PCL win over the Saints Thursday.

Julia Yogis added four RBI and two runs scored while Maggie Devlin had three RBI and three runs scored.

Gianna Anzideo dominated in the circle, throwing a shutout with four strikeouts, one walk and three hits.

ARCHBISHOP WOOD 13, UPPER DUBLIN 2 » Winning pitcher Dakota Fanelli struck out nine, scattered four hits and allowed just one earned run for Wood on Wednesday in a nonconfere­nce game. Fanelli also brought the lumber with two doubles and two runs scored, while Julia Yogis also doubled and tripled. For Upper Dublin,

Bella Fiore was 2-for-2 with a double and Kaelin Penna hit an RBI double and scored. UPPER DUBLIN 13, NEW HOPESOLEBU­RY 3 (5) » Madden Reilly collected four RBIs as she went 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles as host Upper Dublin rolled to an SOL crossover victory in its season opener.

Brianna Kesslick went 2-for-3 with a double, three RBIs and three runs scored with Lizzie Tambourino finished 2-for-3 with a double, two RBIs and a run scored for the Cardinals (1-0). Rayla Kratchman was 2-for-2 with two run scored and a stolen base.

UD pitcher Chloe Foster earned the win striking out eight in four innings in the circle. She gave up three runs — one earned — on two hits, three walks and one hit batter.

Ciara Carter had a single and run scored for New Hope-Solebury.

Boys volleyball

UPPER DUBLIN 3, SOUDERTON 0» The Cardinals swept the Indians for an SOL American win Thursday.

Levi Leatherman had 20 assists and seven digs for Souderton. Alec Kreiser added eight digs and Kavailya Bhatt had five digs and four aces.

PENNSBURY 3, ABINGTON 1 » After winning the first set, the Ghosts lost an SOL matchup against the Falcons Wednesday night 13-25, 25-22, 26-24, 2522. Xavier Voit led Abington with 13 kills while Colin Mulvihill had 25 assists and Zach Miller and Jake Kosik each had seven digs. Bradley Burgfechte­l led Pennsbury with 17 kills.
