ROBBERY » Melvin Fletcher, 37, of the 2700 block of Turner Avenue, Roslyn, was arrested at 12:53 p.m. May 3 after allegedly attempting to steal a pocketbook at Shop Rite, 2471 Cheltenham Ave., police said. He was charged with robbery, theft, simple assault, recklessly endangerin­g another person and harassment, online court records show.

RETAIL THEFT » A black male, 6 feet 4 inches, 140 pounds, wearing a tan vest, attempted to steal $636 worth of goods from Home Depot, 7690 Washington Lane, at 2:04 p.m. May 3, police said. The merchandis­e was recovered and the male left in a white Honda Civic with Delaware tags, police said.

RETAIL THEFT » A Black female in her 40s, medium build, 5 feet 10 inches tall, with short black hair with a gray stripe, wearing a green jacket, took $200 worth of goods from Walgreens, 2727 Cheltenham Ave., at 7:56 a.m. May 4, police said.

RETAIL THEFT » A bald, Black male, 6 feet 2 inches, in his 40s, medium build, wearing a red suit jacket; and a Black female, 5 feet 5 inches in her 40s, heavy build, with brown dreadlocks, wearing a tan jacket, reportedly left Walgreens, 2727 Cheltenham Ave., at 8:23 a.m. May 4 with an unknown number of stolen goods, police said.

INDECENT EXPOSURE » A report of an indecent exposure was made at 11:05 a.m. May 4 at Target, 2450 Shoppers Lane, police said.

AUTO THEFT » A 2016 silver Porsche, DE tag XQ204361, was reported stolen at 5:08 p.m. May 5 at the Towers at Wyncote in the 8400 block of Limekiln Pike, police said.

THEFT » A victim reported losing a debit card and other personal ID while shopping at Cedarbrook Plaza, 3001 W. Cheltenham Ave., at 8:51 p.m. May 5 after which the debit card was used at Walmart and to pay a Philadelph­ia Gas Works bill, police said.

WARRANT » Paul McArthur Drains III, 30, of the 7800 block of Rugby Street, Philadelph­ia, was taken into custody in Philadelph­ia at 1 a.m. May 6 on a Cheltenham warrant, police said. Drains allegedly sold the same car to unsuspecti­ng victims several times in 2020 and was wanted on charges of theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property, police said.

BAD CHECKS» Andrew Spohn, 30, of the 7200 block of Montour Street, Philadelph­ia, was charged at 11:54 a.m. May 6 with forgery, counterfei­t access and related charges after allegedly attempting to cash a fraudulent check at Wells Fargo, 2401 Cheltenham Ave., police said.

ARMED ROBBERY » A Black male, age 20-25, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches, wearing all black clothing and a black face mask, pulled a black semi-automatic firearm and demanded money at 9:43 p.m. May 6 at LaHasa Quick Mart, 271 S. Easton Road, police said.

ROBBERY » Andre Ramsey, 31, of the 7000 block of 15th Street, Philadelph­ia, was taken into custody at 9:23 p.m. May 8, after allegedly taking items at Target, 2450 Shoppers Lane, and then spraying the loss prevention officer in the face with pepper spray, police said. He was charged with robbery with bodily injury, retail theft, receiving stolen property, harassment, simple assault and possession of an instrument of crime, police said.

ID THEFT » A resident reported May 12 a bank account was opened in the victim’s name, police said.

SHOOTING » A male was shot following a disturbanc­e at 5:26 p.m. May 12 at the Melrose Station Apartments, 902 Valley Road, police said. The victim, who was wounded in the upper left chest, was in grave condition as of May 16, police said. The investigat­ion is ongoing.

THEFT » A jacket and a wallet containing a small amount of cash, credit and debit cards were reported stolen at 7:04 a.m. May 13 from an unlocked vehicle in the 200 block of Maple Avenue, police said.

RETAIL THEFT » A 42-yearold Jenkintown woman and 35-year-old Flourtown woman were cited for retail theft at 3:31 p.m. May 13 at Burlington Coat Factory, 1000 S. Easton Road, after a loss prevention officer observed them taking items, police said.

VANDALISM » A vehicle in the 100 block of Cottman Avenue was found at 7:39 p.m. May 13 with all four tires flattened and a window smashed, police said.

RETAIL THEFT » A Black male, age 17-18, 5 feet 10 inches, thin, medium complexion, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, black pants and black and white sneakers, stole three iPads, valued at $1,431, from Target, 2450 Shoppers Lane, at 7:31 p.m. May 14, police said.

INDECENT ASSAULT » An indecent sexual assault was reported at 8:25 p.m. May 14 on the property of Michael’s Restaurant, 501 S. Easton Road, police said. Investigat­ion ongoing.
