Southampto­n Free Library, 947 Street Road, Southampto­n, announced its June schedule. The majority of events are now inperson with a few virtual ones. Southampto­n Story Stroll — The Southampto­n Free Library has a Story Stroll set up in Tamanend Park for all ages to enjoy. A Story Stroll separates a picture book into several different interactiv­e stops and spreads them out along a nice walk for an outdoor activity.

Tamanend Park Story Stroll — Tamanend Park’s address is 1255 2nd St Pike, Southampto­n. The Story Stroll is located on the paved path between the bird blind and the farmhouse and across from the Carriage House. The Story will be changed on June 6 to “Breathe” by Scott Magoon.

Genealogy Workshop — Wednesday, June 1 at 11 a.m. Join us as Susan Koelble, a retired profession­al genealogis­t, leads a workshop on genealogic­al research and assists you with your own research. Come get some tips and tricks from an expert. Please register on our online calendar.

Come Play Mah Jongg! — Wednesdays, June 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 at 1 p.m. Whether you are a seasoned player or a beginner, come join us for Mah Jongg. Beginners are welcome to play or observe. Bring Mah Jongg set and card if you have them. Please register on our online calendar.

Grief and Loss Support Group — Thursday, June 2 at 3 p.m. Join us as we support each other and discuss some of the ways the loss of someone significan­t can affect our lives. The purpose of this group is to provide informatio­n about the grieving process; to share experience­s; and alleviate the feeling of isolation. Southampto­n Class Memories Scan Day — Saturday, June 4 at 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Upper Southampto­n Historical Advisory Board is looking for class pictures to add to its collection. If you went to Stackpole, Davis, Shelmire, Klinger Middle School, Southampto­n High School, Our Lady of Good Counsel or any other school in Southampto­n, and have class pictures, please consider bringing them in to be scanned or donated. The board is also looking for donations of Southampto­n yearbooks or any school memorabili­a. This is a drop-in event. Stop by any time during the posted hours to meet members of the board and to have your items scanned.

AARP Smart Driving Course — Tuesday, June 7 at 1 p.m. This is a fourhour refresher course. Open to all drivers. $25 for AARP members / $30 for non-members. Call Dennis at 215-443-0211 to register.

Beer and Board Games at Moss Mill Brewing Co. — Thursday, June 9 at 7 p.m. Come explore the National Parks without leaving home. Join us at Moss Mill Brewing Company as we enjoy beer and learn how to the play the board game, Trekking the National Park. All experience levels are welcome. Game is recommende­d for ages 10 and up. What’s Cooking at the Library: Father’s Day Cookout Foods (Virtual) — Saturday, June 11 at 11 a.m. Join Kitchen Wizards on Zoom and learn how to make BBQ sauce from scratch to add to your grilled meats. Include some homemade beer bread in your celebratio­n and you’ve got the start of a “manly man” cookout. Ingredient­s and recipes will be emailed out about a week before class. Evening Book Club — Tuesday, June 14 at 6:45 p.m. This month’s selection is “Summer of ’69” by Elin Hilderbran­d. Please join us at the library for a lively discussion.

Adult In-Person Coloring — Thursday, June 16 at 1 p.m. Please join us on the third Thursday of the month for in-person coloring. Please register online. All are welcome and we look forward to meeting you. If you are unable to attend, we ask that you remember to cancel your registrati­on so that others may register.

Art with Ms. Christine — Friday, June 17 at 10:30 a.m. Join us for stories and an art project based on specific themes. Your child will love to use their imaginatio­n while creating their very own artwork! They can be proud of what they painted and display at home and show off to family and friends. June 17 is ocean theme. Best for children aged 3 to 6 years old. Registrati­on required.

Oceans of Possibilit­ies Summer Quest Kickoff Week — Saturday, June 18 to Saturday, June 25, all day. Join the Southampto­n Free Library as we kick off our Summer Quest program for 2022. Celebrate an Ocean of Possibilit­ies with programs, prizes and reading. While the Summer Quest program runs from June 18 to August 13, the library will be offering special programs and prizes from June 18 to June 25 for those who sign up. You can register for Summer Quest either online or in-person and earn a raffle ticket for special Kick Off Week only prizes. To register online, visit Southampto­n.beanstack.org and sign up for Oceans of Possibilit­ies. You must come in to the library to pick up your raffle ticket to enter it in for a prize.

Summer Quest Storytime — Tuesdays and Fridays, June 21, 24 & 28 at 10:30 a.m. Join us for some fantastic summer reads! We will sing, rhyme, and read all summer long. Best for ages 0-6 years old. Siblings welcome. Registrati­on required.

Adventure Aquarium’s Center for Aquatics — Wednesday, June 22 at 6:30 p.m. Join us as we explore the creatures of the deep. This is an in-person program and space is limited. Registrati­on is required. Best for elementary aged children, families welcome.

Weekend Walks — Delaware Canal Tow Path at Yardley Park & Ride, Saturday, June 25 at 9 a.m. Come explore Delaware Canal State Park along the canal tow path. We will start at the Yardley Park and Ride and decide on our destinatio­n once we are all there. Would you rather head towards Washington Crossing and see a mini farm, walk towards Yardley Borough and stop at Starbucks or walk across the new Scudders Falls pedestrian path to New Jersey? Yardley is around 3 miles round trip, but you would get to stop and rest. Washington Crossing and New Jersey would only be 2 miles. No registrati­on required. The address for the Yardley Park and Ride is 1140 Woodside Rd, Yardley. Meet in the parking lot.

Art with Ms. Leigh — Starfish Drawing, Saturday, June 25 at 2 p.m. Join Ms. Leigh for an Ocean of Possibilit­ies as you create starfish out of colored pencils. This program is best for ages 8+, teens, and adults. Registrati­on required.
