Florence Carole Fus


Florence Carole Fus (Rowinski), 90, formerly of Ambler, PA, died on Saturday, July 2, 2022, in Falls Church, VA, surrounded by family.

Born in Conshohock­en, PA, Florence was the ninth and last surviving of ten children. She was the loving wife of the late Frank Anthony

Fus; devoted mother of Lawrence (Melinda), Edward (Laureen), Andrea (Harry), and Elliot (Yvonne); doting grandmothe­r of Rebecca, Alexandra, Morgan, Jeremy, Jonathan, Alexander,

Annik, and Robert; and proud great-grandmothe­r of Gavin.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Alec, Jane, Joe, Mary, Anne, Helen, Stella, Peggy, and Bassie.

An alumna of Thomas Jefferson University College of Nursing, she enjoyed a successful career as a registered nurse, most notably at Chestnut Hill Hospital in Philadelph­ia.

Florence and Frank were married in Conshohock­en, and made a home together in Ambler, where they raised their family and lived for over 50 years. In 2016, Florence joined a retirement community in Falls Church, VA.

A mass and celebratio­n of life for Florence will be held in Falls Church on August 11, 2022.
