Communication Solutions Group expands team
“Each person brings new ideas and expertise to our company and clients. It is a high-energy vibe that we all seem to thrive in.” — The Communications Solutions Group president Leza Raffel
JENKINTOWN » The Communication Solutions Group, a public relations and marketing firm based in eastern Montgomery County, continues to grow after celebrating 30 years in business in 2021.
Company President Leza Raffel announced the addition of two new staffers and promotion of a current staffer to the firm which specializes in community engagement campaigns for municipalities, first responders, school districts and nonprofits.
“Each person brings new ideas and expertise to our company and clients. It is a high-energy vibe that we all seem to thrive in,” said Raffel of her staff and her 31-year old company.
Kellie Dietrich was promoted to Public Relations and Marketing Manager.
Berman previously worked as a Communications Specialist at a continuing care retirement community. His intrapersonal skills and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment made the transition seamless, a company press release stated.
“He immediately hit the ground running and organized a virtual open house with Delaware County Intermediate Unit. The open house highlighted the increased need for licensed practical nurses and informed prospective students on the logistics of their program,” the release stated. He also assisted on the launch of a regional volunteer firefighter recruitment campaign for 21 companies that serve the Capital Region.
Berman studied at Penn State Abington and holds a bachelor’s degree in English. Before transitioning to public relations, he worked as a writer and editor for MontgomeryMedia weekly newspapers and a page designer in the production hub of MediaNews Group.
“Communication Solutions has given me the opportunity to expand my skillset and continue to evolve as a writer of various forms of content,” said Berman. “I have enjoyed getting to know our clients and telling their stories through press releases, newsletters, brochures, social media posts and video testimonials.”
Jessica Lis joined the team in June. Before Lis started at Communication Solutions, she ran multiple campaigns as the Social Media Specialist for an organization devoted to brain aneurysm prevention. A graduate of Temple University, Lis has a bachelor’s degree in English with a concentration in Creative Writing and currently lives in South Philadelphia.
“I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity to work at Communication Solutions Group,” said Lis. “I’m motivated every day by the client-driven atmosphere in our office. It’s inspiring working with clients who serve their community.”
Although Communication Solutions is a small business, there is plenty of room for growth, Raffel noted.
Kellie Dietrich, who joined Communication Solutions in 2019 as a Public Relations Associate, and then a Public Relations and Marketing Specialist, has been promoted to Public Relations and Marketing Manager. Dietrich holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication from DeSales University and has a background in journalism. She participated in multiple successful campaigns at Communication Solutions Group over the past three years and has “leaped into her new role, advising both clients and employees,” the release stated.
“As a manager, I am excited to focus more on Communication Solutions’ employees and help them strengthen their skills,” said Dietrich. “I’m appreciative of all the opportunities I’ve had here and I can’t wait to see what’s next.”
