5/1/1939- 7/31/2022. We mourn the sudden passing of Sheila (Forman) Bass, daughter of the late Claire and William Forman and sister of her late brother Arthur. Beloved wife of 61 years to Jerrold, proud mother of Howard (Colleen Bass), Laura (Don Daley), Robert (Heidi Polak) & Deborah (Brian Murphy). She was a devoted Grandma to Jennifer, Daniel, Taylor, Jacob, Alexandra, Samantha, Jillian, Zackary, Alexander and Austin. She was an adoring Great Grandma to

Raphaella, Charlee, Henry, Sibyl, Jacob, and Isabella. Sheila led an active life serving in both the public and private charitable sectors. Sheila was active in Bucks County republican activities for over 40 years.

She was a committee person, County Executive and former member of the PA GOP state committee. Having been appointed by Gov. Thornburgh, she served several years on the board of the PA Minority Business Development Authority. In the mid 90’s she was tasked by Commissioner Warren to close NAWC and develop the process of conversion for civilian use. Over the years she served on many county and private boards, which included 21 years on the Bucks County Community College Authority and eight years on the Family Services board. In her earlier years, she was very active in Hadassah, being president of

the Pennypack Park Chapter. Sheila was a diplomat in the truest of senses, having the ability to stand between opposing forces and reaching compromise. In her spare time, Sheila loved to cook and spend

time with family and friends. She was a voracious reader and loved to travel. She was renowned for her extensive Friday night dinners and Sunday Brunch gatherings. She was the epitome of elegance, class and dignity and will be missed greatly by her family, friends and colleagues.
