MontCo Anti-Hunger Network names new executive director
NORRISTOWN >> Montgomery County Anti-Hunger Network, MAHN, Montgomery County’s emergency food system’s resource provider to food pantries, has announced Amanda Musselman as the new executive director.
Musselman will guide the organization in its mission to foster collaboration within the Emergency Food System between suppliers, service providers, and consumers to increase the volume of nutritious food available to pantries and people struggling with hunger in our communities and the quality of customer service they receive.
“Amanda brings positive and energetic leadership to MAHN. Her warmth, collegial style, practical approach to problem solving, and passion for battling food insecurity and building collaborative partnerships are evident,” a press release stated.
“Amanda comes to MAHN with a strong background in food distribution combined with a passion for connecting individuals to resources needed to thrive. She most recently served as Food Program Manager at Bucks County Opportunity Council. She uses her passion to fuel food programs by connecting community members and organizations to address food insecurity,” the release continued.
She has a graduate degree in Nonprofit Leadership from LaSalle University and combines data, knowledge, and grassroots understanding to advocate for community supported programs addressing root causes of hunger, the release stated.
“We know that working alone is not a solution to solving hunger,” said Musselman. “It is an honor to continue MAHN’s strong history of collective impact in the Montgomery County community.”
“In her short time with us, Amanda has showed her passion for the Emergency Food System community and for our organization. The board is excited to work with Amanda as our new Executive Director and confident that MAHN will be well positioned under her guidance to thrive in the years to come,” said MAHN Board President Mindy Bartscherer.“Under her leadership, we look forward to an ongoing vibrant and flourishing future for MAHN and for the many pantries and pantry consumers served each year.”
MontCo Anti-Hunger Network (MAHN) is an inclusive alliance of emergency food providers maximizing the acquisition and distribution of nutritious food to those in need.
