EASTERN to hold Designer Bag Bingo at Upper Moreland High School

WILLOW GROVE >> Eastern Center for Arts and Technology (EASTERN) is excited to announce its firstever, Designer Bag Bingo to be held at Upper Moreland High School on October 19 from 6- 8 p.m. All proceeds will benefit EASTERN student awards and EASTERN’s leadership organizati­on, SkillsUSA. Tickets are available online for $25 or $30 in cash at the door.

Doors for the event will open at 5 p.m. Snacks will be available for purchase, but attendees can bring their own food. Admission provides 10 games and a bingo dauber. Extra games can be purchased in cash at the event. Alcohol is not permitted at this event or on school grounds.

The bingo fun doesn’t stop there: There will be gift baskets for raffle and a 50/50. All ticket sales must be made in cash. No credit cards or checks will be accepted.

The EASTERN Foundation exists to encourage students in their pursuit of career ambitions that were developed and strengthen­ed by attending EASTERN. The Foundation does this by rewarding student success and achievemen­t through scholarshi­ps and awards which are presented in May at our Annual Awards Night.

Last year, the EASTERN Foundation awarded over $40,000 to outstandin­g student award recipients.

SkillsUSA is EASTERN’s student leadership organizati­on. SkillsUSA is a partnershi­p of students, teachers and industry working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. A nonprofit national education associatio­n, SkillsUSA serves middle-school, highschool and college/postsecond­ary students preparing for careers in trade, technical and skilled service occupation­s.

EASTERN is a public school serving students in nine Eastern Montgomery

County school districts. Those districts include Abington, Bryn Athyn, Cheltenham, Hatboro-Horsham, Jenkintown, Lower Moreland, Springfiel­d, Upper Dublin and Upper Moreland. Students benefit from specialize­d career programs that give them a competitiv­e edge in college or in a career. The campus is at 3075 Terwood Road in Willow Grove.
