Peter (Pete) Edward Wiggins

Peter (Pete) Edward Wiggins, 61, of Norristown passed away at his home on Friday, September 2, 2022 surrounded by family. Born on March 6, 1961 in Ambler, PA, he was the son of the late Sterling & Gladys Wiggins, and the loving husband of Sharon Del Bono for 27 years.

Pete was a longtime resident of Norristown but was raised in Ambler, PA. He worked for many years in the area as a chef in the food service industry. In his spare time, Pete loved reading books, listening to music and watching movies about history. Pete loved baseball and anxiously awaited the start of baseball season each year to watch the Philadelphia Phillies. Peter also had an avid love for trains, and collected them as well. Pete and Sharon used to enjoy long walks in the Norristown Farm Park and state hospital grounds. Pete also was happy walking around Ambler with his brother reminiscing about their childhood. Pete took many wonderful vacations with Sharon and her family. Pete considered Ocean City, New Jersey his happy place. What Pete loved most was spending time with his loving family and grandson. He was a loving husband, brother, stepfather, grandfather, and a dear friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing him and he will be missed by many.

In addition to his wife, Pete is survived by his brother, Michael S. Wiggins; One step-son, Steven Anthony Del Bono; One grandson, Anthony Francis Del Bono; sister-in-law, Maureen Del Bono and nephew, Michael S. Wiggins II.

Services for Mr. Wiggins will be announced at a later date at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place in the George Washington Memorial Park, Plymouth Meeting.
