The Board of Supervisors of Limerick Township is seeking approval to impose an additional earned income rate tax in the amount of one-quarter percent (0.25%). If approved, the revenue received from the tax will be used to finance acquisition of open space and forest and agricultural easements. It will also be used for the acquisition of property development rights for the purpose of acquiring recreation or historic lands. This increase will last ten years, beginning on January 1, 2023 and ending on December 31, 2032. A majority vote of yes to this question would approve the proposed increase.
