ATTEMPTED THEFT: A resident of the 100block of Old York Road reported at 9:24p.m. Nov. 2 hearing her car alarm go off and checking to find a window broken, the steering column smashed and the engine running, police said. AUTO THEFT: A Hyundai was reported stolen Nov. 2from the dealer’s lot, 1645Easton Road, police said. It was last seen about two weeks prior, police said. FRAUD: A resident reported Nov. 2being scammed out of $1,200 after receiving text messages from someone the victim believed was an Xfinity employee about a promotion to get a refund and discounted rate, police said. The victim followed instructions to purchase four gift cards totaling $1,200and provide the activation code to the person via phone, police said.
RETAIL THEFT: A female removed security cables from merchandise and stole $560worth of goods from Nordstrom Rack, 2500Moreland Road, at 9:10p.m. Nov. 1, police said.
THEFT: The catalytic converter was reported stolen Oct. 31from a vehicle in the 2800block of Mount Carmel Avenue, police said. The victim reported the catalytic converter had been stolen off a second vehicle Oct. 13, making the cost to repair both about $2,600, police said. THEFT: The catalytic converter was reported stolen at 11:45a.m. Oct. 31from a vehicle in the 1500 block of Huntingdon Pike, police said.
FRAUD: A resident reported Oct. 31fraudulent transactions for $6,690, $1,900, $2,000and $2,000were made on the victim’s bank account, police said. RETAIL THEFT: A female stole $150worth of goods from CVS, 2870Moreland Road, at 8:55p.m. Oct. 31, police said.
ARSON: A small fire reported at 6:55p.m. Oct. 30in the trash room of a building in the 100block of Washington Lane was the second fire in a short period of time in the same location and is believed to be arson, police said. Investigation ongoing.
THEFT: A female reported at 1:19 p.m. Oct. 29ordering an Uber to take her to two different locations, but after arriving at the first, the Uber driver left with the victim’s backpack, containing $450worth of personal items inside, in the back seat, police said. FRAUD: A resident reported Oct. 29receiving a notice from PennDOT that two requests to change his address on his driver’s license were filed, police said. FIRE: A fire reported at 5:52p.m. Oct. 29at a home in the 1000 block of Tyson Avenue, believed started from a lit candle, damaged an upstairs room, police said. No one was injured, police said. DISORDERLY CONDUCT: A group of people who started a small fire at the Roslyn Train Station at 10:44p.m. Oct. 29 were cited for disorderly conduct, police said.
THEFT: A resident of the 1200 block of Nolen Road reported at 5:55a.m. Oct. 28hearing a noise and looking outside to see three males loading items into a vehicle, police said. The catalytic converter had been stolen from her vehicle, with damage estimated at $2,000, police said.
THEFT: Multiple vehicles in the area of the 1600block of Park Avenue were found the morning of Oct. 28with the catalytic converts cut off and stolen, police said.
ASSAULT: A male was arrested and charged with assault at 11:43 a.m. Oct. 28following a fight in the 3000block of Mount Carmel Avenue in which another male was struck with a baseball bat on the leg, police said.
RETAIL THEFT: A male who stole a jacket valued at $1,225from Bloomingdale’s, 2400Moreland Road, Oct. 27was located by officers and arrested and the jacket was recovered and returned, police said.
FRAUD: A resident reported Oct. 27a check for $554.13mailed at the mailbox at Moreland and Fitzwatertown roads was deposited in the account of a different person, police said. Investigation ongoing.
THEFT: The catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle parked overnight Oct. 26in the Acme market parking lot in the 300 block of Old York Road, police said.
COUNTERFEIT: Two males attempted to make two purchases using counterfeit $100bills at CVS, 2622Jenkintown Road, at 7:32p.m. Oct. 19, but left prior to police arrival, police said. CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: The front window of Luigi’s Pizza, 417 Township Line Road, was found broken at 9:42a.m. Oct. 19, police said.
AUTO THEFT: A vehicle containing a 9mm handgun, a wallet with $300cash and $20,000worth of tools was stolen overnight Oct. 18 from the 2100block of Jenkintown Road, police said.
FRAUD: A resident reported Oct. 18being scammed out of $400 after receiving an email from a person she believed was her brother who requested an Apple gift card be sent, police said. The victim complied, but after speaking with her brother realized it was a scam, police said. FRAUD: A male using a fraudulent ID attempting to withdraw $5,400from a bank account claiming it was his at Citizens Bank, 1919Easton Road, was taken into custody at 2:22p.m. Oct. 17, police said.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: A vehicle parked in the 900block of Township Line Road was found at 10:05a.m. Oct. 17with the windshield smashed, police said. Damage was estimated at $250, police said.
RETAIL THEFT: Five males stole $300worth of goods from Dicks Sporting Goods, 2514 Moreland Road, at 5:22p.m. Oct. 16, police said.
RETAIL THEFT: A male stole $200worth of goods from Giant, 2350Susquehanna Road, at 4:44 p.m. Oct. 15, police said.
RETAIL THEFT: About seven males and females combined stole items from Old Navy, 2512 Moreland Road, at 6:44p.m. Oct. 14, police said. The store recovered $204worth of items, but suffered the loss of $150worth of clothing, police said.
FRAUD: A resident reported Oct. 14a fraudulent credit card was opened using the victim’s personal information, police said. COUNTERFEIT: Two males purchased $1,000worth of gift cards using counterfeit $100bills at CVS, 2622Jenkintown Road, at 10:36a.m. Oct. 14, police said. RETAIL THEFT: A male who stole two jackets from Macy’s at the Willow Grove Park Mall Oct. 13 was located and arrested and the merchandise was recovered, police said.
FRAUD: A resident reported Oct. 13being scammed out of $500by an unknown person with whom the victim was exchanging text messages, police said. After purchasing an Amazon gift card for the person, the victim received a $30,000 check in the mail which turned out to be fraudulent, police said.

THEFT: Target, 2450Shoppers Lane, reported Oct. 25an employee was overriding merchandise valued at $587.50, police said. Investigation ongoing. Cheltenham Ave., reported at 8:05p.m. Oct. 31a Black male in his late 30s, with a patchy beard, 6feet tall, medium complexion, medium build, wearing all black, armed with a silver handgun, stole money from the store, police said. BURGLARY: Frank Rodriguez, 58, of the 2100block of Hancock Street, Philadelphia, was charged with burglary, criminal trespass, criminal mischief, receiving stolen property and theft by unlawful taking, after allegedly burglarizing AJ Preschool, 7663Old York Road, and taking Tide pods and a bag Nov. 1, police said.

ARREST: A 24-year-old male of the100block of East Huntingdon Road, Philadelphia, was charged with defiant trespass following a report at 10:39p.m. Nov. 1of two males attempting to break into a vehicle in the 7800block of Penrose Avenue, police said. ASSAULT: Officers responded to a report at 12:14a.m. Nov. 2 in the 8300block of Old York Road, where four to five males who were attempting to steal a catalytic converter pulled a gun on another person and left in a four-door sedan, police said.
