Vote for Varsity 845 girls basketball player of the week
Online voting for the Varsity 845 girls basketball player of the week for February 5-11 is now open. Go to RecordOnline.com/sports and vote as often as you like until 10 p.m. on Saturday, February 17 (no computer bot voting, please).
Nominations are pulled from reports to Varsity 845 and other sources. Players from Orange, Ulster and Sullivan counties are eligible. One player per school is permitted during each week. The first six winners were Zoe Mesuch of Wallkill, Amiah Neails of Monticello, Sam Calahan of Highland, Kathryn Argenzio of Washingtonville, Sydney Allen of Rondout Valley and Deanna Barry of Highland.
With the large amount of candidates, we split the voting into large- and smallschool polls.
The winner will be announced via X / Twitter @Varsity845. Previous winners can become eligible again once the postseason has begun.

She posted 18 points and 11 rebounds in the Wizards’ 43-29 win over Chester on Feb. 6.
T.T. Burden, Newburgh
She scored 24 points in the Goldbacks’ 48-42 loss to Monroe-Woodbury on Feb. 9. She had 30 points in a 70-50 loss to Marlboro on Feb. 7. She had 21 points in a 65-40 loss to Middletown on
Feb. 5.
Madison Fileen, Monroe-Woodbury
She scored 24 points as the Crusaders nipped Newburgh 48-42 on Feb. 9.
Ashley MacCalla, Middletown
Her 32 points pushed the freshman over 1,000 for her career as the Bears topped Newburgh 65-40 on Feb. 5.
Helena Molitoris, Rondout Valley
The freshman scored 16 points in the Ganders’ 50-38 loss to New Paltz on Feb. 9. She added 15 points in a 35-24 win over Webutuck on Feb. 7.
Bella Morales, New Paltz
She scored 16 points to lift the Huguenots to a 50-38 win over Rondout Valley
