MIDDLETOWN - Thank you, Father, for giving us strength through faith and the sacrifice of your son, Jesus Christ. Scott J Brownley, 71, passed away on February 29, 2024, at Westcheste­r Medical Center. He was the husband of Judith Brownley; they shared 48 years of marriage. Born in Schenectad­y, NY, he was the son of James R Brownley and Joan C Brownley. Scott attended Middletown High School, graduating in 1971. After graduation he was drafted into the US Army where he proudly served his country during the Vietnam War era (1972-1975). He then enlisted into the Air National Guard Reserves for a combinatio­n of 31 years of service. Between military services, Scott worked as a counselor at Goshen Secure Center in Goshen, NY, for 10 years. Scott was a member of Family Faith Fellowship Church and the American Legion, Post 151. He will be fondly remembered by those who love him for his faith in God; his love for his family, friends, country, his sound advice, and ability to make anyone laugh. He is survived by his wife; Judith (Judy), his brother Dean, his wife, and their children; Heath, Hogan and Regan, his children; Jessica, Cary and his wife Erika, and Tara, grandchild­ren; Caelan, Christian and Colten Beisiegel; Cary Jr and Lila Brownley and Bella Arnita. Scott also leaves behind his loving companion, Muller. He was predecease­d by his younger brother, Cary and his son in law, Joseph Beisiegel. The family would also like to acknowledg­e the physicians and best friends who’ve supported Scott through these years; Dr David Ellis, MD, Dr Sergio Obligado, MD, Kerry Gomulka, PA-C; Wayne and Karen Shoemaker, Fred Vandermark, Bob and Pat Munro, Chris and Mark Vanvleck and Roman Lewis. A public visitation will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2024, from 1pm-5pm at Martinez-Morse Funeral Home, 33 Railroad Ave., Middletown, NY 10940.
