- Times-Herald staff report

SolTrans is partnering with the Vallejo Chamber of Commerce and Fighting Back Partnership for their first ever “Stuff the Bus” campaign to help provide toys for underprivileged children this holiday season.

SolTrans will be accepting new unwrapped toys at their Vallejo Transit Center at 311 Sacramento St. and their Operations and Maintenance

Facility located at 1850 Broadway on two different days for the community to drop off for children of all ages.

The first day will be on Monday and the second day will be Dec. 6. The bin will also be available at the Vallejo Transit Center from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Dec. 4 during the SolTrans Holiday Mixer.

“I have been wanting to do a ‘Stuff the Bus’ promotion since I started, I am so glad that this year we could partner with such great community groups to provide holiday cheer for local children this holiday season!” said Mandi Renshaw, SolTrans program analyst, in a press release from the transit agency.

This year’s promotion will culminate with the “Stuffed” bus traveling to the Vallejo Chamber of Commerce Holiday Mixer on Dec. 12 where the bus will continue to be stuffed by Vallejo Chamber of Commerce members. Once the evening is over the bus will deliver all the toys to Fighting Back Partnership in Vallejo where the toys will be separated and delivered to the deserving families.
