Local Roundup: St. Pat’s girls soccer downs Bethel,

The St. Patrick-St. Vincent High girls soccer team blanked Jesse Bethel 9-0 on Monday in Tri-County Athletic League action at Corbus Field.

Isabella Campos finished with three goals and one assist for the Bruins. Alexci Johnson had two goals and two assists, and Ella Dichoco also had two goals.

Giovanna Sweeney had two assists, Marcella Cardona had a goal and an assist and Janet Cervantes contribute­d one goal.

The Bruins (3-0, 2-0) were led on the defensive side by Giovanna Sweeney, Ella Dichoco, Reina Aguilar and Kaia Ilagan-Evangelist­a. Isyss Hornbeck had the shutout in goal for St. Pat’s.

The Jaguars fell to 0-2-1 overall, 0-1 in league play.

Girls basketball

Pittsburg 70, Vallejo 12

The Vallejo High School girls basketball team fell to Pittsburg 70-12 on Monday in nonleague play.

The Redhawks trailed 32-2 after a quarter and fell to 1-6 overall.

Athletics

Vallejo Sports Hall of Fame

The Vallejo Sports Hall of Fame is gearing up for its 17th annual class in 2020.

The athletes that are going to be inducted are Richie Anderson and Ronnie Anderson (BMX Hall of Fame), Willie Anderson (Harlem Globetrott­ers), Joanie Bettencour­t (softball), Bobby Gonzalez Jr (wrestling), Tony Longmire (baseball) and Everett Robinson (Tae Kwon Do).

The coach being inducted is Ann Talamantes­Ristow. The team being inducted is the 1987 Vallejo High girls basketball squad and special achievemen­t is the PAL German soccer exchange program with Mike Kollar.

The ceremony is March 14 at the Dan Foley Cultural Center.

Tickets are $50 before Feb. 1 and $60 after and are $30 for ages 6 to 17.
