Vallejo boys soccer sees offense explode in victory over Swett,

The Vallejo boys soccer team’s game on Tuesday night was “No Swett’ as the Redhawks won 18-0 against John Swett on the road.

The Redhawks (6-0-3 overall, 2-0 in the TriCounty Athletic League) were led by Christian Rodas, who scored a hat trick with three goals. Alexis Villagomez had five assists in the win.

The game was called with 10 minutes to play.

The Redhawks next game is Thursday at Albany.

Albany 3, Bethel 1

The Bethel High boys soccer team lost a Tri-County Athletic League showdown with Albany, 3-1 on Tuesday night on the road.

Matthew Cadavid scored the goal for the Jaguars while David Mendoza had the assist.

Bethel fell to 6-1 overall and 2-1 in the Tri-County Athletic League with the loss. The Jaguars next game is at home on Thursday against John Swett.

American Canyon 1, Rodriguez 1

The American Canyon boys soccer team tied Rodriguez 1-1 on Tuesday night in a home game in the rain.

Christian Flores scored the goal for the Wolves.

With the tie, the Wolves are now 0-2-5 on the season. American Canyon’s next game is Thursday against Armijo.

Boys basketball De La Salle 84, Bethel 29

The Bethel High boys basketball team lost to De La Salle 84-29 on Tuesday night in a nonleague game.

Jonathan Webster led the Jaguars (2-4) with seven points.

Bethel’s next game is Wednesday against Freemont at home.

Girls basketball St. Pat’s 53, Rodriguez 36

The St. Patrick-St. Vincent High girls basketball team defeated Rodriguez 53-36.

Tameiya Sadler was close to a quadruple double as she had 20 points, 12 steals, nine assists and seven rebounds. Zeni Purge had 16 points while Bella Stevens had 10 points.

St. Pat’s improved to 4-3 overall with the win.

The Bruins’ next game is Thursday against Carondelet.

Local basketball Stallions move up in rankings

The Solano Stallions moved up in the American Basketball Associatio­n to no. 15 in the talented Far West Region this week following a doublehead­er.

The Stallions traded wins and losses with teams they played earlier in the season, losing 127-106 against the San Francisco City Cats on Saturday, and taking the win against the Contra Costa Delta Stars 110-104 on Sunday. The Stallions now stand at 2-3 in the Far West Region.

The Viasat Player of the Game against the Delta Stars was Deontae Banks with 16 points whose shooting behind the arc helped the Stallions secure a victory.

The No Time 2 Chill Skills Academy player of the game was Phillip Johnson of the Stallions whose aggressive play against the Delta Stars yielded 16 points and eight rebounds, and Jalen Bonds of the Stallions who cut through the Delta Stars defense to score 25 points and seven rebounds.

The Stallions’ next game is Dec. 21 against the Chico SuperKats at Pleasant Valley High before coming home to Armijo High to play against the Las Vegas Royals on Dec. 22.
