Three of the Solano County supervisor seats are up for election this year, and those who want to know where all the candidates stand on the most pressing issues facing the county can do so at a candidates’ forum on Jan. 9.

Hosted by several Solano County business and labor organizations, this forum will provide an opportunity for candidates from all of the Board of Supervisors races to answer questions on how they would handle county-based issues. The candidates running for District 1 — which includes the northern portion of Vallejo

— are incumbent Supervisor Erin Hannigan and Vallejo City Councilman Robert McConnell. Candidates for District 2 — which includes all of Benicia, the Southern portion of Vallejo, and the Cordelia and Green Valley areas of Fairfield — are incumbent Supervisor Monica Brown, Potentiate LLC CEO Rochelle Sherlock and BrandGOV founder K. Patrice Williams. The candidates for District 5 — which includes Rio Vista, a portion of the eastern part of Vacaville including the Elmira area, a portion of the eastern section of Suisun City and the northern part of Fairfield — are Fairfield-Suisun school board Trustee David Isom and

Vacaville City Councilman Mitch Mashburn. All have been invited to take part in this forum.

The forum will be moderated by Steve Huddleston, the vice president of public affairs at NorthBay Healthcare and former publisher of The Reporter. Partners include the Napa-Solano Building and Construction Trade Council, Sheet Metal Workers International Association, Solano County Farm Bureau, Solano Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Filipino-American Chamber of Commerce, Vallejo Chamber of Commerce, Napa Solano Central Labor Council, Solano Association of Realtors, Vacaville Chamber of Commerce,
