Hannigan, Mashburn report receiving additional funding
Solano County Supervisor Erin Hannigan’s re-election campaign reported Tuesday that she received $1,000 from the Vallejo Chamber of Commerce Political Action Committee (ValPAC), according to a report submitted to the Solano County Registrar of Voters.
Both Hannigan and Rochelle Sherlock picked up the endorsement from the chamber for their respective campaigns in December.
Hannigan is seeking a third term representing District 1, which covers all of Vallejo north of Georgia Street. Sherlock is hoping to unseat first term Supervisor Monica Brown for the District 2 seat. The seat includes the city of Benicia, portions of Fairfield, Mare Island and all of Vallejo located south of Georgia Street.
Vacaville Councilman Mitch Mashburn reported receiving $2,500 from the Solano County Sheriff’s
Custody Association, and $1,000 from the Northern California Carpenter’s Regional Council Small Contributor Committee.
Mashburn is currently a lieutenant with the Solano County Sheriff’s Office.
Mashburn and David Isom, a trustee on the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District board, are vying to represent District 5 after Skip Thomson declined to seek another term on the county board of supervisors.
District 5 includes parts of Fairfield, Suisun City, Vacaville, and all of Rio Vista and Elmira Area.
The primary election will take place on March 3, 2020.
Should a candidate get a majority of the votes cast, 50 percent plus one, in the March election then they are declared the winner. If no candidate receives a majority of the votes in March, then the top-two vote-getters move on to the general election in November.
