Youngblood, Bethel High girls hoops win West Coast Jamboree

The Jesse Bethel High girls basketball team won the West Coast Jamboree on Monday after a 62-34 win over Middletown.

Nikkea Youngblood was the MVP of the event after scoring 27 points and adding 12 rebounds and three blocks in the final. Meriel Ferrer and Jhrriuha Pina were all-tournament for the Jaguars.

In the other two rounds of the tournament, Bethel (10-1) beat Chowchilla 5938 and Santa Cruz 47-46 in overtime.

Bethel hosts Rodriguez on Thursday at 4 p.m..

Colfax 59, St. Pat’s 36

The St. Patrick-St. Vincent High girls basketball team lost to Colfax 59-36 on Monday in the championsh­ip game of the West Coast Jamboree at Northgate High in Walnut Creek.

The Bruins (8-5) fell behind 25-6 after a quarter against the Falcons (12-3).

Isabella Stevens-Byrd had 10 points, 12 boards and two blocks, and Tameiya Sadler had eight points, 14 rebounds and four assists for the Bruins

St. Pat’s is back in action on Jan. 7 against Salesian in Tri-County Athletic League play.

JV girls basketball

Wolves take second at Dixon Ram Jam

The American Canyon junior varsity girls basketball team took second place at the Dixon Ram Jam over the weekend.

The Wolves beat Will C. Wood 42-14 and then Dixon 31-30 before losing to Davis 70-38 in the final.

Jadynn Lyon and Nyria Valentine were all-tournament for American Canyon.

Women’s basketball

Northwest Christian 82, Cal Maritime 48

The Cal Maritime women’s basketball team fell to visiting Northwest Christian 82-48 on Monday in nonleague play.

Kim Masulit had 14 points and four steals for the Keelhauler­s (2-12). Kameron Taylor had 11 points and Valiceia Horne had seven boards.

Cal Maritime hosts Simpson on Saturday.

Youth baseball

Falcons hosting camp this weekend

Solano Community College

is hosting a four-week baseball camp starting on Saturday.

Falcons head coach Scott Stover will direct the program in conjunctio­n with the U.S. Baseball Academy.

Classes are available for players in grades 1 through 12 and are limited to seven players per coach.

Sessions are offered in hitting, pitching, catching, fielding and baserunnin­g. Space is limited.
