Williams announces receiving several notable endorsemen­ts

K. Patrice Williams, a candidate for the District 2 seat on the Solano County Board of Supervisor­s, announced that her campaign has picked up a number of endorsemen­ts from local leaders.

Those endorsemen­ts include Assemblyma­n Tim Grayson, D-Concord, Assemblyma­n Jim Frazier, D-Fairfield, and Assemblywo­man Rebecca Bauer— Kahan, D-Orinda.

Williams, who runs BrandGOV, a community outreach firm, also received endorsemen­ts from former Vallejo Mayor Osby Davis, Benicia Vice Mayor Christina Strawbridg­e, Solano County Supervisor Erin Hannigan, Suisun City Mayor Lori Wilson, and Solano County Board of Education trustees Dana Dean, Elease Cheek, and Peggy CohenThomp­son.

She also reported endorsemen­ts from Solano Community College Governing Board trustees A. Marie Young and Rosemary Thurston, as well as from Benicia Councilman Lionel Largaespad­a, Vallejo councilmem­bers Pippin Dew, Rozzana Verder-Aliga, Suisun City Counciwoma­n Wanda Williams, Vacaville Councilman Nolan Sullivan and former Vallejo councilmem­ber Jess Malgapo.

Finally, the campaign said it received the endorsemen­ts from Benicia Unified School District trustees Diane Ferrucci, Gethsemane Moss, Vallejo City Unified School District trustees Ralph Tony Gross, and Tony Ubalde Jr., Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District trustees David Isom, and John Silva, and Vacaville Unified School District Trustee Mike Silva.

Williams is seeking to unseat Solano County Supervisor Monica Brown, who represents District 2, which includes the city of Benicia, portions of Fairfield, Mare Island, and all of Vallejo located south of Georgia Street.

Businesswo­man Rochelle Sherlock is also vying for the seat.

The primary is March 3.
