Thank you, Erin Hannigan
Solano County Library’s Career Online High School is an online high school diploma and career certification program offering free enrollment to qualified students through our local public libraries.
It is specifically designed to reengage adults into the education system and prepare them for college or the workforce.
Solano County Supervisor Erin Hannigan quickly saw how this opportunity could help young people like me in Vallejo. After first sponsoring the needed financial match through her office, she was able to find additional supporters to help fund the program.
Adding to the county library’s partnership with the state library, Erin Hannigan encouraged the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation to provide matching funds to expand this opportunity for students in all of Solano County. They now fund this program along with their $1 million annual commitment to a package of programs helping people in our community.
Because of my health situation, I was unable to complete high school in the traditional way and was unable to start college. Supervisor Hannigan encouraged me to sign up for this program. I took the leap, earned my high school diploma and am now a student at Solano Community College. I am grateful for her leadership and am proud to have such a great woman representing us as our County Supervisor.
Thank you Supervisor Hannigan. I appreciate the work she is doing in our community.
