Kitten season

-

Well, here it comes again. The kittens are coming, the kittens are coming!

We, Solano County Friends of Animals (SCFOA) spay/ neuter hundreds of cats and kittens during the year. Just think how many more there would be if we and other rescues didn’t do this.

Every year, thousands of cats and kittens not lucky enough to land at a rescue like us — No Kill — are put down. Spay/ neuter is the answer. No one is ever turned away from SCFOA, if they need help with spay/neuter.

Of course, this all takes money — that is where you come in. Those of you who have read my letters know I have a “Give a Buck” program. If anyone reads this letter would send just one dollar, think how much that would be. If you can send more, that is wonderful. Any amount is appreciated. As one gentleman said “here is my dollar and 19 more for some that will not send anything.”

We are a 501c3. We have no paid staff or facility. We are blessed to have Petfood Express in Benicia as a partner. That is where we hold adoptions on weekends. We have several cats that are housed there until they go to forever homes and a meet and greet room that is available to us during Petfood Express business hours. So every dollar donated goes directly to helping the animals.

If you have questions about us go to our Facebook page or email me, retiredruby@comcast.net. Or, come see me at Friday adoptions at Petfood Express in Benicia. I am there 3-6 p.m. And please help. Big or small, all donations are very appreciated.

And speaking of kittens, we really need fosters. So contact me with any questions.
