St. Patrick-St. Vincent High swim teams picked up wins Tuesday, defeating Jesse Bethel,

The St. Patrick-St. Vincent High swim teams picked up wins on Tuesday afternoon, as the Bruin girls defeated Jesse Bethel 99-38, while the St. Pat’s boys beat Bethel 90-25.

Leading the way for the St. Pat’s girls, Olive Kelley won the 100 butterfly with a time of 1 minute, 20.45 seconds.

On the boys side, Ethan DeLange won the 200 individual medley (2:22.26) and 100 back (1:05.84).

The junior varsity girls team beat Salesian 81-29 and Bethel 80-21.

The junior varsity boys team from St. Pat’s defeated Salesian 27-14.

Baseball

Benicia 4, Deer Valley 2

The Benicia High baseball team won a home game against Deer Valley on Tuesday by a score of 4-2.

Leading the way for the

Panthers (2-0) was pitcher Diego Menjivar, who threw a complete game and only allowed four hits while striking out three.

Zion Judkins and Jaxson Bates each had doubles for the Panthers, while TJ Valentine, Richard Mealey and Gabe Martinez also had hits.

Benicia is at American Canyon on Friday.

Softball

Fairfield 16, Bethel 3

The Bethel High girls softball team lost to Fairfield 16-3 on Tuesday night.

The Jaguars had a triple from Teralyn Wimberly and doubles from Miyoni Nelson and Taliah Ingram.

Nikki O’Reilly had four hits for the Falcons.

The Jaguars (2-1) play next on Wednesday at Pinole Valley.

St. Pat’s 17, St. Mary’s 5

The St. Pat’s softball team defeated St. Mary’s 17-5 on Tuesday.

The Bruins were led by Alexci Johnson, who went 4-for-5 with triple triples, three RBIs and four runs scored. Daniella Ontiveros had three hits and scored three runs.

Getting the win in the circle for the Bruins was Angie Orellana.

Boys tennis

Bethel 4, Pinole Valley 3

The Bethel High boys tennis team defeated Pinole Valley 4-3 on Tuesday night.

Clutch win came from the singles play of Julio Escobar Jr. who won 3-6, 7-6 (7-4 tiebreak), 7-5.

Also getting wins in doubles play were the teams of Temo Gutierrez and Sean Batoon, Fernando Agan and Carlos Mejia as well as David Tabora and Justin DeJesus.

Bethel (1-2) will play next at St. Pat’s on Thursday.

Badminton

El Cerrito 11, Bethel 6

The Bethel High badminton team lost to El Cerrito on Tuesday night 11-6.

Getting wins for the Jaguars in singles play was Jasmin Guarino, Czareana Ramos, Carleen Alfonzo and MaHealyn Anicete. Bethel also had doubles wins from the teams of Elyzza Baratang playing with Isabelle

Diumano as well as Leyana Sunga teaming up with Rheanna Cantor.

Bethel’s next match is next Tuesday against De Anza.

College softball

Solano’s doublehead­er against Los Medanos cancelled

Solano had two games with Los Medanos cancelled on Tuesday.

The Falcons next game is Thursday against Sac-Joaquin Delta.

College baseball

Mendocino 14, Solano 11 (10 innings)

The Solano College baseball team lost a wild game at home to Mendocino on Tuesday, falling 14-11 in 10 innings.

The Falcons (3-13) had 19 hits for the contest. Wellington Balsley, Nathan Jessell, Cameron Appling, and Cameron Martin all had three hits each. Herbie Lane had two hits, including a home run. Jessell also had three RBIs. Eli DeGuzman had two hits.

Solano is at Napa Valley on Thursday.
