Board of supes chambers closed to public during meeting
The Solano County Board of Supervisors will hold a unique meeting on Tuesday as the board chambers will be closed to the public due to the Novel Coronavirus. However, the public will still be able to participate in the meeting.
“This precaution is being taken pursuant to the authority conferred by Gov. (Gavin) Newsom’s Executive Order N-2920,” according to a statement included with the agenda. “All or some of the board members will attend the meeting telephonically and participate in the meeting to the same extent as if they were present.”
The five-person board will receive an update from Dr. Bela Matyas, the Public Health officer for Solano County, regarding the
coronavirus in the county.
Solano County issued a shelter-at-home order on Wednesday, which closed all nightclubs, bars, movie theaters, gyms and breweries in the county as a way to stop the spread of COVID-19.

Comments can be submitted in writing to the Clerk of the Board by U.S. Mail or by email to clerk@ solanocounty.com. Written comments must be received no later than 8:30 a.m. on the day of the meeting.

be able to hear the meeting and will be called upon to speak during the public speaking period.

The board will also receive the County Registrar of Voters’ certification and results from the California Presidential Primary Election held on March 3.
It will conduct public hearings to approve the Solano County Housing Authority Public Housing Agency 5-Year Plan, and to review and consider adopting the updated Solano County 5-Year Capital Facilities Improvement Plan for Fiscal Years 2019/20 through 2023/24, respectively.
The public portion of the meeting begins at 9 a.m.
