Dodd hosting town hall meeting on wildfire preparedne­ss next week

California Senator Bill Dodd, D-Napa, will host a virtual town hall April 13 on wildfire preparedne­ss.

The town hall will be broadcast live on KSVY Sonoma Radio/TV and streamed across multiple channels. Panelists will join Sen. Dodd in answering submitted questions and calls from viewers.

The panel will also include Cal Fire Chief Thom Porter; Christophe­r Thompson, president of the Napa Communitie­s Firewise Foundation; Caerleon Safford, analyst, Permit Sonoma, Fire Prevention Division.

California was drasticall­y hurt by wildfires in 2020 as five of the top six blazes in state history occurred during the calendar year.

The town hall begins at 6 p.m. and will be streamed live on KSVY.org.
