Benicia High grabs singles, doubles titles
The Benicia High boys tennis team won singles and doubles titles Saturday at the Diablo Athletic League tournament finals.
Kai Wills beat teammate Lorenzo Biatta 6-0, 6-3 in the tournament championship match.
Willis had a bye in the first round, and then beat Benicia's Cameron Jacobs 6-0, 6-0 in the quarterfinals and teammate Giacomo Biatta 6-1, 6-2 in the semifinals.
Lorenzo Biatta had a bye in the first round, then beat Clayton Valley's Nikko Valenzuela 6-0, 6-1 in the quarterfinals and then Alhambra's Joseph Nunez 6-1, 6-3 in the semifinals.
In the doubles championship, the Panthers' duo of Ian Zambrano/Aidan Chen beat Clayton Valley's Jason Miller/Jason Shin 6-2, 6-2.
Zambrano/Chen beat teammates Suraj Somas/ Adrian Hanford 6-3, 4-6, 6-2 in the semifinals. They beat Clayton's Bach
Nguyen/Zylar Anwar 6-1, 6-2 in the quarterfinals.
