Chamber PAC announces endorsements
After a long process, the Vallejo Chamber of Commerce Political Action Committee announced this week its endorsements in U.S. Congress District 8, Solano County Sheriff/Coroner, and Solano County District Attorney races.
ValPAC announced it is endorsing John Garamendi for U.S. Congress, District 8, Thomas Ferrara for Solano County Sheriff and Coroner and Krishna Abrams for Solano County District Attorney.
In a news release, ValPAC said it enthusiastically endorses the candidates, saying they demonstrated the experience, ability, leadership, vision, accessibility, commitment and knowledge of Vallejo and the surrounding area to best serve the needs of our community.
The ValPAC Board of Directors is comprised of Vallejo Chamber members including local business owners and executives.
“It is vital for the continued growth and stability of Vallejo that we elect individuals who understand the needs of our community, how to address them, and who are best qualified in their role to keep Vallejo moving forward,” said Beau DeFehr, ValPac chair. “In each candidate interview, we listened closely to each candidate's experience and qualifications, priorities and passions, and made our endorsements based on these four pillars.”
ValPAC is a voluntary committee of individuals and business interests, and is not affiliated with any political party or candidate. ValPAC is dedicated to improving Vallejo and the local economy through participation in the political process. The Vallejo Chamber of Commerce is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving its 400 plus members and working to encourage and promote positive wellbalanced economic growth through business development. It was founded in 1874 for the purpose of advancing the civic, commercial and general interests of the city of Vallejo and its adjacent areas.
