Burglary suspect lands additional charges
A man taken into custody earlier this month on suspicion of burglary and sexual assault is facing several additional felony charges, according to Vallejo Police Department officials.
Jashawn Germany was arrested on April 4 on an unrelated parole warrant. Vallejo Police Department Public Information Officer Sgt. Rashad Hollis said further investigation not only linked Germany to a March 31 burglary incident but another incident that occurred that day as well.
According to Hollis, a burglary was reported in the 500 block of Georgia Street at approximately 7:48 a.m. that day and a victim that was present at the time of that incident was subsequently restrained and sexually assaulted by an unknown male, who investigators believe to be Germany.
When Germany was taken into custody for his warrant he was charged on suspicion of the burglary and sexual assault in addition to his warrant but, as of April 19, Hollis said Germany now faces additional charges of sodomy, first degree robbery and false imprisonment.
He is currently in custody at the Solano County Jail and bail is set at $465,000.
