Mr. Henry Clay Mosley, Jr. 77, of Forrest City, died Saturday, Jan. 9, 2021, at Memphis Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Memphis.

Mr. Mosley was born July 24, 1943, in Madison to the late Mr. Henry Clay Mosley, Sr. and the late Mrs. Eurydice Mack Mosley.

Survivors are spouse, Bertha Mosley of the home, his children, Vernon Bailey of Madison, Roderick Mosley of St. Robert, Mo., Kevin Mosley Sr. of Forrest City, Marco Mosley Sr. of Jonesboro, siblings, Eugene Austin of Louisville, Ken., Joyce Richardson of Little Rock, Mahasin Al' Malki Duncan of Chula Vista, Calif., Mabel Saine of Little Rock, Linda Faye Mosley of Little Rock, Eurydice Rochelle Norwood of Little Rock, 16 grandchild­ren, 19 great-grandchild­ren and many other relatives and friends.

“Our country is in the worst pandemic in its history due to Covid- 19. Currently in the United States, every 15 minutes someone dies from this dreadful and unruly virus. Our goal here at Clay Funeral Home is to maintain our integrity by using sound judgement while funeralizi­ng loved ones, and to mitigate the spread and subsequent fatalities of this pandemic,” said Effie Clay, funeral home director.

“Covid- 19 resources for funeral homes are by The Center for Disease Control and prevention (CDC), and federal and state agencies continue to issue guidelines daily in an effort to prevent the spread and subsequent fatalities of many. They recommend guidelines regarding gatherings. Funerals are high risk events with elevated risk factors for the public, therefore, the family members responsibl­e for making the arrangemen­ts have chosen the burial procedures used.
