-

Robert Echols Jr. did his best to help get the Mustangs a late season conference win Monday night at Lonoke. Echols finished with 23 points, but unfortunately, that effort was not quite enough as the Jackrabbits held on to take a 65-62 win in double overtime.

Servio Fisher grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the Mustangs on the boards.

The Mustangs missed five free throws in the first overtime, according to head coach Dwight Lofton.

The loss drops the Mustangs 413 overall and 3-10 in the conference.

The 4A-5 conference tournament is scheduled to start Saturday, Feb. 13, which will determine the top four teams that qualify for the upcoming regional tournament.
