Michelle Tanise Pendleton (1986-2021)

-

Michelle Tanise Pendleton was born on Oct. 26, 1986, to Elder Nathanael and Helen Pendleton in Palestine. God saw fit to take this angel home on Monday, July 5, 2021. She gave her life and heart to God at an early age. She loved praising God and singing.

Michelle was a complete joy to anyone who met her. She had a huge smile and an amazing personality. She had a heart for children, especially children with special needs. She was always attaching herself to a child whether it was her nieces and nephews or someone else’s child. Michelle truly embraced her calling to teach. She taught for approximately 10 years, most recently at CB Partee Elementary in the Brinkley School District. She was an amazing teacher and coworker. She treated all children as if they were her own.

Michelle was a creative soul. She loved to cook and she would get so excited watching people enjoy her cooking whether it was a family dinner, catering event or her passion for baking. She often said “I don’t know how much of this ingredient I put in anything, I just cook.” It was her gift. She expanded that gift into a business in 2020 which she appropriately named “From Michelle, With Love, LLC.” She enjoyed cooking for her family, clients and was excited for her business to flourish.

Michelle enjoyed spending time with friends and family. She enjoyed making people laugh and taking/sending selfies to her loved ones. She would often send a picture and say “just so you don’t forget how I look” or “I knew you needed this.” She was a very generous and loving soul. She showed everyone that she met how much she loved them. She was a pure giver. She gave from her heart.

Michelle loved her parents, her 13 besties (siblings), her in-laws and all of her nieces and nephews with all of her heart and soul. She wanted the best for everyone and encouraged everyone with kind words. She loved to travel and she didn’t let anything stop her from doing what she wanted in life. Through health issues, she was resilient and lived a full life. Her life mattered.

Michelle was preceded in death by her father, the late great Elder Nathanael Pendleton Sr., her four grandparents, Andy and Bernice Pendleton and LC and Rosetta King, and her niece, Anelise Walker.

Michelle leaves to cherish her memory her loving mother, Helen Pendleton of Palestine; 13 siblings who will miss her greatly, Jacqueline Burgess (Leonard), Nathanael Pendleton Jr., Timothy Pendleton and Thaddeus Pendleton, all of Forrest City, Patricia Pendleton, Phillip Pendleton (Karen) and Marcus Pendleton (Krystle), all of Dallas, Priscilla Pendleton, Helen Rolfe (Marc) and Maurice Pendleton (Pamela), all of Jonesboro, Anthony Pendleton (Laquinta) and Gwendolyn Pendleton, all of Palestine and Lydia Henderson of Atlanta, Ga.; and an honorary sister, Crystal Harris-Daniels of Forrest City. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. She leaves to cherish her memory and love, Godson, Kylin Daniels and her Baby, Javion Harris.

Visitation will be Friday, July 16, 2021, from 4 to 6 p.m., at the Civic Center.
