Times-Herald encourages readers to write letters

The Times-Herald invites and encourages letters from its readers. All letters must be signed, and must include a daytime phone number for verification. A name may be withheld by request if determined by the Times-Herald that publication of the author’s name could endanger his/her employment, safety or standing in the community. No anonymous letters will be accepted. Clarity, brevity and timeliness are encouraged. Please limit letters to 350 words or less. The editor reserves the right to edit letters as required by space limitations or for legal reasons, and to reject any letter deemed unworthy of publication. No letter pertaining to a ballot issue will be published 48 hours prior to that election; nor will letters pertaining to individual candidates be published. Mail letters to The Times-Herald, P.O.
