James Nobles (1944-2022)
Mr. James Nobles was born to Tom Noble and Bertha Ella Lesure on Nov. 19, 1944, in Forrest City. James confessed his belief in Christ at an early age. During his teen years, he attended Lincoln High
School in Forrest City. He worked 44 years at Airtherm/Mastek, retiring in 2007. He was a distinguished businessman, employing over 100 employees from 1984 to 2017 at Nobles Carwash in Forrest City. He loved his family and friends and was respected and loved by all.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mattie Nobles; his parents, stepfather, William Lesure Jr., siblings, Ellis Noble, Carolyn Noble, Erma Lesure, Pearlie Lesure, Patricia Lesure and his son-in-law, Chet Evans.
He is survived by seven children, Helen Nobles-Evans, Colette Nobles, Aneice Nobles and Keith Nobles of Forrest City, Willie Nobles (Pamela) of Fort Smith, David Nobles (Tanesha) of Jonesboro and Marilyn Reynolds (Heath) of Oxford, N.C. He leaves 21 grandchildren and 29 greatgrandchildren, along with one goddaughter, Tonya Williford; four great-godchildren and two great-grand-godchildren. He also leaves eight brothers, Theotis of Joliet, Ill., T. J. (Maxine) of Gary, Ind., Keith of Toledo, Ohio, and Thomas (Buck) Noble of Savanah, Ga., and Clarence Love, Charles, Herbert and Ray Lesure of Cleveland, Ohio; five sisters, Ruthel Noble Flunder of Toledo, Ohio, Mary Winston, Barbara, Tracey and Marie Lesure of Cleveland, Ohio; two dear aunts, Clara Noble and Rosie Patrick of Forrest City, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 4, 2022, from 5 to 6 p.m. at Beth Salem Missionary Baptist Church.
The funeral service for James Nobles, 77, of Forrest City will be Saturday, Feb. 5, 2022, at 11 a.m., at Beth Salem Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Rayfield Walker delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow at Forrest Park Cemetery.
