In 1956, Jane married her beloved Donald earlier in Elgin, Ill. They enjoyed a wonderful 65 years of dedicated and devoted love. Jane graduated top of her class in 1960 at Mississippi State where she majored in the Art of Foreign Language, French and Spanish. Then returned to Elgin, where she taught Spanish in Elgin High School and junior college. In 1977 she and Don moved from New Berlin, Wisc., to Forrest City, where they owned and operated a very successful hardware store. In 2000 they retired to Fairfield Bay. She enjoyed people and was a member of the League of Women’s Voters, Red Hat Society and Questers. Jane was an avid puzzle worker, she loved games that challenged the mind such as crossword puzzles, picture puzzles, sudoku, word search, as well as love to read. Every Friday was a delivery for a new puzzle at her home and a new enjoyable challenge.

Not long ago, Jane had experienced near death due to a reaction to a local anesthetic. Her testimony of that beautiful experience and the closeness to the Lord was that she had already gone down the tunnel and seen the light, and it feels like going towards love. Jane had experienced the glory of the Lord and embraced the reality of her everlasting home.
