Swan and Loewer earn top honors for Palestine-Wheatley Class of ’22

The Palestine-Wheatley High School Class of 2022 will graduate Tuesday evening.

The graduation ceremony will begin at 7 p.m., in the gymnasium on the high school campus.

The top two graduates for the Class of 2022 are Sara Swan and Kylie Loewer.

Swan, of Forrest City, is valedictor­ian, and Loewer, of Wheatley, is salutatori­an.

Swan is the daughter of Michael and Leslie Swan. She is the granddaugh­ter of Jackie and Larry Swan, Julie and Jimmy Huskey and the late Rita Stombaugh.

While in high school, Swan has maintained a 4.0 grade point average while also completing 60 concurrent credit hours through East Arkansas Community College. She is a member of Delta Beta Sigma and enjoys volunteeri­ng, going to the gym and being outside. She also works at CashSaver in Forrest City.

Swan plans to continue her education at the University of Arkansas where she will major in business, with plans to pursue a law degree and become a corporate attorney.

Loewer is the daughter of Wesley Loewer and Rorie Hydron. She is the granddaugh­ter of Ricky and Debbie Loewer and Michael and Kipp Williams.

While in high school, she was a member of the senior high cheerleadi­ng squad.

She is a member of the Wheatley Baptist Church, and in her spare time, enjoys hunting, making TikToks and dancing. She also works at The Flower Patch.

She has maintained a 3.98 grade point average in high school while also earning 41 concurrent credit hours through EACC.

Loewer plans to pursue a degree in nursing with hopes of one day becoming a flight nurse.
