Eva Mae Wilson (1936-2024)

Eva Mae Wilson was born Sept. 18, 1936, to the late Robert Granberry Jr. and Leola Washington Granberry.

Eva accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age in St. Louis, Mo. Later she moved back to Haynes and united with Spring Grove M.B. Church where she served faithfully until her health began to fail.

In 1952 she married Jimmy B. Wilson (JB), and they celebrated over 55 years of marital bliss. To this union four boys and two girls were born.

Eva was employed at General Industries (GI) in Forrest City.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, Robert Granberry Jr. and Leola Washington; siblings, Jesse Cross Jr., Leon, Lawrence, Clarence, Robert III, Charles Sr., Allen Granberry and Gloria Wilson Brown; one grandson, Deon Boyd and one greatgrand­daughter, Natori Dominique Wilson-Fingers.

Eva leaves to continue her legacy, Arthur (Reola) Wilson of Forrest City, Jimmy Wilson Jr., of Haynes, John (Addie) Wilson of Russellvil­le, Sharon Perkins of West Memphis, Shelia (Kelvin) Hailey of Memphis, Gregory Wilson of St. Louis, Mo.; two brothers, Fred (Rosie) Granberry of Belleville, Ill., and Donald (Linda) Granberry of St. Louis,

Mo.; one sister, Lola (Orville) James of St. Louis, Mo.; sistersin-law, Minnie McFadden of St. Louis, Mo., Odissa Williams of Goodyear, Ariz., and Frankie Granberry of Atlanta, Ga.; 17 grandchild­ren, 39 greatgrand­children, two great-great grandchild­ren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be today, Friday, Feb. 23, 2024, from 4 to 6 p.m., at Spring Grove M.B. Church in Haynes.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 24, 2024, at 11 a.m., at Spring Grove M.B. Church with the Rev. Cedric Coleman officiatin­g. Burial will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery.
