The exhibition is open through May 31.
Matthew Hasty’s Southern landscape paintings offer expansive views of sky and land with a focus on the Delta region. His work captures the dramatic lighting effects of sunrise, sunset, and nightscapes. Hasty’s paintings have been included in numerous public and private collections throughout the U.S. and abroad.
A selection of Jeni Stallings’ nature-based encaustic paintings will be showcased in the exhibit. Stalling’s paintings have been included in notable exhibits and collections throughout the nation. She earned a B.F.A. in painting from the Memphis College of Art and also studied painting at New York University. Stallings currently lives in Atlanta where she maintains her studio practice.
Randall M. Good earned a B.F.A. degree from the University of North Texas where his studies focused on studio painting and art history, in particular the Italian Renaissance and Mannerist period. After college, he worked as a restorer of easel paintings at Art Restoration Inc. in Dallas where he furthered his technical knowledge. As a fine artist for more than three decades, Good's primary focus is the expressive human form placed in subjects that range from Judeo-Christian iconography to Greek and Roman mythology, along with literary sources and his own original cosmogony.
Sculpture by Robyn Horn, Sandra Sell, and Elizabeth Weber will also be included in the show, along with abstracted landscapes by Dolores Justus and Steven Schneider, paintings by Kathryn Sixbey, along with selections from other artists. The original pen and ink with watercolor by Gary Simmons that was reproduced for the Art Moves Outdoor Exhibit organized by the Hot Springs Area Cultural Alliance, will also be showcased.
